Sara Irene in a romantic sense, nobody of any gender really wants to get with somebody who’s slept with many people unless you’re the same too because they seem unreliable romantically. The reason why other men “congratulate” other men who got with somebody (especially if the woman they slept with is attractive) is because the man who slept with a lot of girls seems desirable because women are more picky and choosey about who they sleep with so if that guy gets to sleep with a girl it feels to him and his friends that he is desirable. The reason why women don’t get “congratulated” is because guys are less picky about who they will sleep with. I’m not even a guy and that is obvious.
The worlds greatest Dad thing was so relatable to me. Applause 👏🏼 and cheering crowds of internet posts about Dads doing stuff I do everyday. “Look at him! He’s going grocery shopping with four kids! Bless his heart, what an excellent father.” .... Meanwhile ... “Wow. Look at that walking baby mill. She’s in her sweatpants in public. Why wouldn’t she just order her groceries online, they have pickup services you walking condom add.” - And yes that is an exact quote of something someone said about me when they thought I wasn’t listening. 🙄 I’m really glad you addressed all the different aspects in the video including that bit. I think it didn’t land for a lot of reactors.

Totally agree on the lame applause bit, glad views on masculinity and general parenting are changing - it does disservice to both genders, men want to care for their children and not be seen as lesser - cut to James Bond with an infant carrier. I know a stay at home dad who gets dragged for not working. You’re a warrior btw for going grocery shopping with four - that’s some next level parenting!

His character has done all the work in that scene but Lauren who just does an eye roll is praised as being "astonishing". This is something every woman has dealt with. I remember getting our new house ready for visitors. I worked non-stop with 4 kids under 5 years old and all of the guests spent several hours praising my ex-husbands fence, which I helped build and took less than one day. It was disheartening to know I had spent 10 hours a day for weeks to get our house ready and got very little notice. House looks good but that damn fence. It was apparently fucking amazing
