I forgot to ask, what kind of camshaft lock do you have there? Is it a camshaft locking tool or is it a bunch of zipties? I can't really see in the video. I ordered a camshaft locking tool on amazon and it's too big. It would have worked perfectly if it were the correct size. It would just slide down in between the camshafts with teeth and sit there preventing the camshafts from moving. Also, I think this might be a better way, as I could rotate the engine with the old timing belt into TDC and lining up my camshafts perfectly. Then place the camshaft locking tool into place and then remove the old timing belt and install the new one. Then it would most definitely be in timing. I would then do two revolutions just to be sure and the wham, all done. I like it, thanks.

As far as making sure the correct tension is on the timing belt, is it only that spring that’s giving the correct tension and then tightening that nut to keep that tension?

Yes just that spring and idler comes as a set.
