Last month I was in this same road, the road was covered in puddles and the trucks were stranded, but wasn't getting much media coverage. Me and my friend were struggling to cross the road that looked like a swamp by then. This kind man helped us carry our baskets and heavy bags across the road while others stood watching.

As mentioned by one of the men, they have already requested the NHIDCL and also the government to build a wall multiple times to prevent such accidents to occur in the future but instead as mentioned, their request was left unheard resulting in multiple loss of lives and huge loss of property. CM simply sending his condolences is now too late. Enough is enough. NHIDCL, the contractors and the government should be blamed. This is not just a natural calamity but rather it is a man made calamity occurred due to the negligence of NHIDCL and the government.

Flash flood is very dangerous in mountainous area … I remember talking about flash flood 10 years back with my uncle … we were discussing about the danger if it happens in town area like Kohima etc.. RIP to all who have lost their life.
