Always lower the vehicle to the ground, then torque the bolts to factory specs. Torquing the bolts without the weight of the vehicle on them is not to factory spec.
Otherwise great video. I wish my early 3rd gen had that access panel. I have to remove the entire interior trim piece to access the top of the rear shock.

Haha, I'm doing this in a week on my 2010...I dont have the energy to take apart the rear...I am just going to cut a flap in the covers to access the nut! It seems like the simplest and most direct solution, I'm not worried about aesthetics as this point

@@kakabukkake0 I'm on the look out for a 2012-later part out where I can get the rear trim panels. Otherwise I will just get the pop out covers and cut them into my 2010 trim.

I don't have impact wrench for the 6mm allen. I only have socket. Is it possible to do this work? Thanks.

Yes of course. Electric tools are not necessary, they just make things a lot faster

Anyone know if the process, and the tools needed, are any different for a 2013 Prius C? I imagine the Prius C is close to the Prius but I'm not sure.

P3 is more clever design than P2.
