- Matt Watson is on a family vacation to Aitutaki in the Cook Islands. Matt has said that he's not working, but he's packed a couple of cameras. And it's a good thing he did, as Matt catches his first Bone fish, a monster Mahimahi and Shaw manages his first Bluefin Trevally, Giant Trevally and Yellowfin tuna.

Many years ago my wife and I honeymooned on Aitutaki, it was October and traditionally not very good month for pelagic species. There was not much fish to be had, everyone was saying it was not really worth it but I love to fish and any excuse to try fishing anywhere is a good day to me. There were some mahi mahi being caught but there were not yellowfin to be had anywhere but we went out and caught 5 shibi. When the captain dropped me back at the hotel the hotel bought every single fish I caught. The hotel was happy to serve fresh yellowfin on the menu for the first time since beginning our visit. My wife was so proud of me that she told everyone in the dining room that her husband caught the fish everyone was enjoying. She was so happy to celebrate my fishing skills. I fell even more in love with her that day.
The boy did an awesome job filming the mahi, up there with the best of them. You should be proud as bro.
In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ruclips.net/user/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Those GTs at 19:02 are straight up pets. Thats why they came so close to the boat. Rua tried the same thing with me six years ago but I had been snorkeling the same spot the day before so I knew what he was trying to do. Too bad they haven't changed one bit. Getting their costumers into fish in any way possible even if it means taking advantage of someone else's business.

This big Mahimahi pulled hard, but pound for pound a kingifsh pulls harder, Mahimahi also jump.

The bonefish charter was with Aitutaki Bonefish - E2's Way, and Matt and the family stayed at Tamanu on the Beach Resort and Spa.
