I was in Taize from 3th-10th aug 2008. It was one of my greatest spiritual experience so far. The 'brothers' or 'frères' who live there are very inspiring. They are so simple and with few words they can touch your heart deeply. Thanks for this video, I also sometimes just stared at these bells when I was there, it's great ! Thank you for this video ;o)
Hey! I am romel from the philippines, we are in the same date. I was there last august 10-17, i was in the group of 25-35 years old. I was the only filipino that time. I had a very nice experience in this place. I met a lot of people. i am amazed because even though in the group we were different in terms of religions, cultures and nationalities we blended each other. I hope i can go back to taize
When I was a little boy back in1969, the bells were on the ground. I walked on the bell walls, slipped on the ice, and fell into the bell pond. Later, they raised the bells. And when I was little, before church, the smallest bell would start to ring. Then the next largest, then the next, until the largest bell started to ring, which was when were knew that the service was beginning. I miss that. I love those bells, but I miss the timing.

Ohhh... how I miss these bells. I stared at them everytime I passed them by, even more when they were ringing. In September I'll be back.

I can't explain it, I've bells my entire life, but these tones brought tears to my eyes.
