    I'm currently doing my first year in Stellenbosch university,I was a graduate in electrical engineering. You are correct,they need a motivational letter with your application,and if you get shortlisted you are invited for an interview. If you are successful then you will be part of the 20 students selected. It is very competitive

    • @thatomoacwiemang9892

      Hey. What was your average for your degree? And where did you do it? Was it at Stellenbosch?

    • @dumisanimugari2835
      @dumisanimugari2835 3 года назад +9

      @@thatomoacwiemang9892 the average was +/- 74% but I did really well in matric I just didn't go straight into medicine from high school because of funding. I personally wouldn't advice anyone to do engineering as a way to get into medicine though because it is extremely difficult,you are more likely to fail than get a high average. And I did it at VUT. And Stellenbosch is not really specific on the average to get in with your qualification but 75% should be okay,and also a motivational letter gives you a chance to explain your academic, professional and extra curricular work which can improve your chances if you do alot such as volunteering and community projects,they are interested in a holistic applicant who offers more than just academics. And there are people who did various degrees from music,law ,BSc ,etc so your average matters not the qualification

      For one to knw when each university open go to their website. Or just google.
      They OPEN FROM 1 April to 30 November 2021
      N it depends on u, if u work hard u can get level 7.
      Remember spaces are limited n competition is tough.
      DNT APPLY ONLY IN LIMPOPO BUT TO ALL THE UNIVERSITY HE HAS MENTIONED

      @@debrah_dante2939 pls Chek which university closes then but most universities for Medicine are open from April to June
      University of Pretoria is 30th of MAY I think...
      I think it was a typo on the November part, I think I wanted to Write 30th June ... Apologies on that one
      Thus I said such info is found on their websites.
      U have Term 1 n Term 2 results to use.
      Otherwise if they are both not good that something else. By the time yall get prelims results that's too late as most universities would be close.
      N remember certain universities use ur grade 11 to form part of selection
      I think UP N WITS not sure
      But SMU, WALTER SISULU, UL, UFS, UKZN dnt u can apply with ur matric results

    • @ituleo697
      @ituleo697 3 года назад

      B n C are level 5 n 6, for applications purposes u qualify then wats left is for u get distinctions, hopefully that can get u space ( depending on competition)
      Certain universities meeting minimum requirements can shortlist u while waiting for ur final. Results but certain universities have 3 level of selection
      Eg
      PRE SELECTION- meeting requirements level 5 /rejection = less than minimum is immediate rejection
      INTERMEDIATE - conditional offer/waiting list - looking at the number of spaces n competition.
      FINAL ADMISSION - This is the most crucial stage
      Certain universities like SMU
      its two
      1. INITIAL SELECTION
      Rejection / meeting requirement - meaning if ur marks are below requirements ul be rejected immediately. Otherwise if u meet minimum requirements ur application will be awaiting selection (pending ur final results)
      2. FINAL ADMISSION
      based on ur distinction
