I've tried all of them except for Treluxe. And my understanding is a Butter is moisturising if it's water based and a sealant if it's butter or oil based, I maybe wrong.
On with you on the coconut oil, rather have it in products, most creams and butters will say moisturizing, hydrating, nourishing, I haven't seen them say a sealant. As I Am have a double butter cream that is good and Camille Rose curlaid is good. Love your content Crys keep them coming 🥰

My current favorite butter is the Miche Beauty Quenched Hydrating and Twisting Butter. I did a twist out last week that had so much moisture. I was shook at my moisture for day 3 and beyond. I re-hydrated on by day 5 just because I thought it was to good to be true. I have yet to try the Almond Jai that’s next on my list along with Adowa Beauty. I want to try the Eden Bodyworks butter and a few others from them. However, I have the same issue you mentioned about coconut oil and it has turned me off from coconut based products but I wanna try it a styler as you suggested. I have an irrational fair that using a product like that could cause a hair set back which I work hard to avoid.

You put me up on Eden Body Works. My hair LOVES the curl defining cream. But it has no hold. Which I need. My hair did not soak up the matching leaving in the same way as the cream. What do you think?
Hey sis never tried the Kinky Tresses butter, Adwoa cream (I’ve tried the deep condish and shampoo) or the Mane Choice clover but they’re on my radar. I’m transitioning my hair from using gels. I’ve used them for years so it’s hard to use a butter without layering the gel on top. Not to mention the dryness of my hair. Taking a break from gels is probably the best thing for my hair. My hair needs moisture and I’ll get there with your help. My goal is a popping twistout! 😉 Tfs

It depends on the formulation. If you have a cream heavy in butters and oils you don't need a sealant. I have seen creams with the first ingredient water then a bunch of butters. So how's that a moisturizer?
