I know the cat who’s recording just by the sound of his voice from him working at the shop. I’m laughing my ass off. He’s the computer geek at A.G. headquarters and he couldn’t be anymore out of his element. Pure gold buddy. Pure gold. I’m glad you got to see how a genius hillbilly operates. I’ve been around lots of them but Bob is the pinnacle.
Hahahahaha yeah that is so true. He kept leaving belt grinders on and moving to the next machine. I'm moving around with a camera doing my best not to skin my elbow on the moving belt as I try and follow him around the shop.
This guy has like 7 pantographs, 12 mills, 15 buffers, 25 drills, 37 belt grinders. That’s amazing. It’s like a guys shop with the same amount of equipment as Spyderco.
Jake, I hope you are aware that you were following in the footsteps of a knife world giant. This world will be a lesser world when he goes to his reward.
Indeed I am aware. An amazing knife maker. When A.G. passed in late 2018 , we realized that we really missed out on getting a lot of his knowledge (and stories) on film. We're hoping to get at least some of Bob's on film. -Jake
