This whole intro is incredibly unsettling to me. The music is calming, yet ominous given the knowledge of what follows it. Plus, it’s accompanied by the shaky, slightly low quality, obviously decades old, aerial footage of a seemingly peaceful, yet obviously perilous jungle. The whole thing is sickeningly tranquil. The uneasy calm, before a gruesome storm. Definitely a fitting intro for this movie.

    Cannibal Holocaust.
A fun filled, heartwarming story about family and friendship. Togetherness through even the most turbulent times. "Remarkable!" says the New York Times. "Bring the whole family!" exclaims Gene Shalat. The L.A. Times calls it "A masterpiece of coexistence." "Two thumbs up!" rave Siskel and Ebert. Saw this when I was around 5 years old on a sneaky early Saturday while everyone else was sleeping. It had been rented from the local video store the night before and they'd watched it the night before while I was asleep. The violence in it most certainly affected me, and the animal cruelty had me in tears. This did 2 things: 1) I had something REALLY interesting to talk about at primary school on Monday and 2) It played a big part into why I still ask "Why?" more than most other questions. I figured out the movie long ago, but the curiosity and mystery it presented at the time was horrifying for me, so I had to find out why it was made, who made it and who it was made for. Granted it took a few more years before I was able to tie it all together (thanks Fangoria). So while it's not a movie I would watch without a very good reason to do so, I'm thankful for it's existence as it's role in keeping my curiosity at the forefront, so as never to lose the imagination needed to NEED to ask why instead of blindly accepting.

Today, we are already on the threshold of conquering our galaxy; and, in a not-too-distant tomorrow, we'll be considering the conquest of the universe. Why was Leslie Nielsen so effective at comedy? Because he did the opposite, he played it like he was given serious dramatic parts. The magic of two polar opposites. So different, yet they complete each other.

A movie that's just crying out for a modern day big budget remake. Maybe Rob Zombie might be up to it? I can think of a few other studios-Ghost House, Blumhouse, A24, IFC Midnight-- maybe Shudder?

It's a good Introduction for a xxx rated... Thrill... Movie scene !!
I suggest you watch with a slow motion mode !!!!
    Why ??
    More comfortable.
