    Quick report back on the New Beachmaster II No.5 spent some time on the last weekend surf casting at night, slow fishing but the rod performs superbly. Easy to cast long distance, super light, but the thing that blew me away was the sensitivity, you can even feel the sinker rolling in the sand, an exceptional rod which this weekend will hopefully catch some exceptional fish

    Strangely enough on the table, the miravel has the best gearing (aluminium) and probably anti reverse on the table (same anti reverse as the Saragossa). The anti reverse and pinion bearing (although a "sealed" bearing its not waterproof), is the biggest problem with the BG, and might be intimidating for some guys to service a reel under the rotor ( because too much grease, then the anti reverse fails, too little then you basically didn't service it).

      Can we get you to join in on a Tackle Tuesday?🤣
      Thanks for these comments, I must say, that Miravel is one fantastic reel! Probably one of the best in its class!

    • @donczns
      @donczns 5 месяцев назад +1

      I think the Miravel is a great reel and very well specified, but the smaller gearing size and thinner shaft with a hint more flex in the body all contribute to wear when fished heavily by anglers who sometimes have sessions of over 100 casts.

      @@untraceablefishing Who else will comment on your videos then😂I'm just a person that likes to do research on my fishing equipment and know if i'm getting my moneys worth. Reel breakdowns from TackleAdvisors gives a lot of knowledge about what the strange names on the reel boxes mean and then you apply it to different reels in the series. The fact that I used to in university service reels for other people just helps build on top of that knowledge.

      Good day . Need advice? I am in uk . Someone in uk is selling a horizon 5 & 7 brand new. are these the latest rods ? What rand prices

  • @JSJ-mn8wg
    @JSJ-mn8wg 5 месяцев назад +2

    When making rods the carbon fiber is rolled and bonded with resin. I understand it as nano resin technology refers to how resin is left in the blank and not pressed out. Less resin means a lighter rod and more sensitive rod for the carbon type. Most other companies would just indicate this by how much ton the blank is, for example 36T. Its like Okuma spinning reels having cyclonic flow rotors. Its just marketing.

    • @untraceablefishing
      @untraceablefishing  5 месяцев назад +1

      100%, a lot of it is marketing. 🤙🏻 but we still hope you enjoyed the video🎣

    • @donczns
      @donczns 5 месяцев назад +2

      Every carbon brand has its own ratings and codings, I love my old Loomis Dropshot which was an IM9 Carbon, but anyone from the cycling or fishing world can tell you that theres carbon and theres carbon, It has many factors such as the weave type, number of layers and how they are layered up, but trust me acronyms aside, the carbon on these Assassins is superb, the action has to be felt to be believed. Probably equates to around a 40ton. I am familiar with most of the rock and surf rods available locally and trust me these are exceptional.

      @@untraceablefishing yes of course, you're helping people understand what is available on the market without any biases

    • @JSJ-mn8wg
      @JSJ-mn8wg 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@donczns Yeah but IM9 can also be converted to a ton rating. What I'm trying to get at with the comment is I honestly dont think HMCII stands for anything. If you think about it there's a price difference between the rods, If the guides, grip, reel seat are all the same, they have to save money on the blank. I own a 3 assassin rods and I'm a proud owner, they just work so well, but I dont think people should see these labels and think I'm getting a horizon (hence why I say its good marketing)

    • @donczns
      @donczns 5 месяцев назад +1

      The quality of the blank is pretty much the same as the previous horizon zero, the championship edition the claim is twice the strength, I think the point is the new beachmaster 2 is a big step up from the bluefish equinox solar and older beachmaster. Trust me you need to feel these rods in hand.

    Was very excited to see the video on the new Beachmasters.
    I am in Western Australia and am looking to buy the number 4 as soon as they are available to us.
    I absolutely love the Purple colour. I have the Bluefish Zero 14ft 2-4 ounce rod . How would the number 4 compare to the Bluefish?

      @untraceablefishing  4 месяца назад +1

      Hey bud
      You can arrange to order one from Bilimoria so long if you would like- they can send to you!
      The beach master is a proper 3-5 ounce.
      Lighter, stiffer and stronger! You will not be sorry! It absolutely crushes the bluefish!

    What do U guys think for the 6 to be paired with a saragosa 8000 or the ultegra 14k?

    • @untraceablefishing
      @untraceablefishing  5 месяцев назад +2

      8000 prob a bit small- line capacity not great I’d go for a Saragossa 10000 preferably a 14000. But if targeting bigger non eds then 18000.
      ultegra 14000 is a Longcasting design so if fishing light 20 to 30lb you would get around 300m of braid on only due to the shallow spool. Being a #6 that you pairing it with I assume 40lb upwards would be your preferred choice. I would personally look at bigger size reel🤙🏻

    Hi. I have the bluefish 14tft classic. Since its lightweight i was advised to match it up with 5500-6000 reel. But i hear u advise 8000 size?

    • @untraceablefishing
      @untraceablefishing  4 месяца назад +1

      100% bud. It’s a long rod and needs some balance- but it also depends on brands, as some 8000 are the same as a 5500…
      So best thing to do is to go into a store, and try reels on the rod and find what balances it iut

    • @donczns
      @donczns 4 месяца назад +1

      Shimano and Okuma 8000 size is medium, the newer Daiwa MQ series are now the same size, the older Daiwa BG8000 is a huge reel, the BG4500 or 5000 is similar to a 8000 or 10000 shimano or okuma
