I think you are right. I heard the early version of the 1994 vhs Rock N Roll and other stories had a different narration. But unlike the early 1991 Season 3 releases, Rock N Roll wasn't completely redubbed but there are a few bits that were heard only on the vhs. Most notably, most times when Michael Angelis starts to speak, you can hear he took a deep breath before starting. Some of the lines have also be redubbed and as well as some differences in the music as well. If only I was a mad collector back then as a kid, i would've probably have had the original videos and would bring back my genuine memories.
I had Trust Thomas & Other Stories when I was a kid. I've always liked the cover design on these videos. They re-released series 1 & 2 with these covers too. A funny thing about these covers is that Percy & The Signal & Other Stories and Trust Thomas & Other Stories are the only covers to use images from episodes that are actually on the video!

One I Got This From The MIND Charity Shop In Selsdon Near New Addington And Croydon Surrey Just Outside The Capital City Of London In England In The United Kingdom Back In January 2010 And The Second One Is I Got This From eBay Back In April 2020 And Finally I Got This Copy From eBay Back In August 2021 Which Has Oversized Tape Reels Which Is A 1993 VHS Re Release Which Is A Formar Rental From Blockbuster Video And HMV Shop In Oxford Street In London In England In The UK Just Before Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom Of The Opera The Original Classic West End Hit Musical At London's Wonderful Her Majesty's Theatre AKA His Majesty's Theatre In London's Glittering West End On Friday 13th August 2021 As A Summer Holiday Special And It Was Super Awesome. 1:47 That's an odd printing since the title is off center which I have never seen before on VCI labels and the font looks like it was intended to be printed on an earlier The Video Collection era label so that's odd, also are you sure that it has the original narration since the cover is virtually identical but it should have a The Video Collection label, The easiest way to tell is the end credits, if they have a picture of Thomas on the left hand side the the credits scrolling that it is the new narration, the old one has a static picture from the end of the episode and the credits rolling over it. 3:08 that is very odd for it to not have a title on it, all The Video Collection tapes (even the earliest releases) have the title on the tape so you must have an ultra rare version. also it is a bit idiotic to have no title on in since, what would happen if you lost the box or it was in another box, there is no way of telling what it is.

The only one of those VHS's I own is 'Escape' and other stories and it was probably my least favourite Thomas video and probably still is. I just find a lot of the episodes a bit dull such 'All at Sea', 'One Good Turn' and 'Tender Engines'. If I could pick a favourite of the 3 it would be 'Time for Trouble' and other stories but 'Escape' and other stories has to be my least favourite and probably still is, another cracking video :)
