aider asks you if you want to apply the code changes. If you hit Y, it will save the generated code in the concerned local file. You can't see it here in his video because he uses the terminal instead of an IDE like VS code where the file getting updated with the code is listed on the left panel

I saw the announcement but haven't had a proper look at it yet. I think that it can only run 8b models. So, there's that.
According to AidanBench, simple 2.0 flash is much better at coding and function calling than 2.0 Thinking and rivals 3.5 sonnet

Cline actually makes me hit limits. Aider does not
I prefer Aider. It saves a lot of tokens.
Gemini flash is okey for simple task as video, with just a bit more structure one it will be crap, still too far from the claude 3.5 quality
