What attracted me to Dany's vocals was how unaffected, unembellished they are. Straight forward, powerful, and somewhat raw. I even liked her vocals in her earlier songs when it was really raw and sometimes strained. It was still real. Best description I've heard is that her voice is "imperfectly perfect" for rock.
So well stated Professor G. You nailed it. Watching Dany in her intimate IG midnight Dany Day concerts really brings to life the range Dany has and the emotional connection she has with both the song she is singing and the listener. They are absolutely authentic and it is part of what draws people to them.
Unaffected is exactly what I’m interested in. It seems like everyone who wants to be a singer thinks that wailing a bunch of pentatonic blues licks is what makes them a great vocalist. (Look at any American Idol audition). Connecting with the listener is what matters. Bring meaning to the lyrics, understand what you are singing about. This is what matters.

I get you. Dani has same kind of a violent singing tone like Dolores from the Cranberries had. She may also be used to singing very loud too.
They grew up watching classic rock music videos and concerts so yes, they have deep roots in the 1970s/'80s. They add varying amounts of grunge, punk, and even (so they say) elements of k-pop. The lyrics are never an unending series of "oh, baby", they are always meaningful. Oh, and if you haven't caught it yet, their command of English exceeds the average native speaker: "rapacity" in this song, for example.
True be about their English vocabulary, I live in states and do get annoyed that: you can't have a conversation with a young adult without them saying: "Like", "umm", "thing", "shit" , and "Fu**k" every for words!!!
Their english are probably not "mainstream" youth, because they have not grown up in a native english speaking society, but learned it in a private school in a wealthy part of Mexico. If they were born british, they would probably sound posh or upper class when speaking.
That 70’s throwback influence is what got me excited about these amazing sisters more than any band in the last 35 years! I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised by how many fans they have from my generation while at the same time making an impact on their own generation. There’s no doubt they’re heading to the top, this kind of talent can’t be denied!
They have said they being offered a great amount of money and world fame, but are the expense of creativity freedom and image change and they have rejected those offerts.
I think for me the key word in this song is rapacity which means covet. The more we have the more we want. This leads us to lose are humanity. We take and take without regard for others or ourselves.
The background singing with *Cash - Money* actually sounds a little better on the original live sound. I still understand why they used the studio audio for this video. The more I listen to this song the more I seem to like it.
Love the performance. Song starts, Pau is head down, "in the zone", beating on the drums like they owe her money. Timing changes keep your interest. As always, the lyrics clearly, clearly send the message of greed corrupts. Bass line is driving and Dany's vocals are magnificent. Outstanding song. #NumberlyGarfs
My favorite song is Black Holes from their 1st album. All of their songs have deep meanings it is hard to believe how young and in touch they are with what is going on in the World then make songs about it. Their mom asked Pau if she could write a happy song and Pau said no this is the way I deal with it.
The love of money is the root of all evil- The Warning gets it. And there are NO songs on a the Warning album you will ever want to skip- they don't do filler!
I discovered The Warning earlier this week, after seeing their rework of Enter Sandman. I am 52 years old die hard rock fan that was completely disillusioned with the state of modern music. The Warning is the best band I have heard for at least 20 years they will be selling out stadiums within 2 years.
Enjoyed your reaction and analysis. It’s interesting that you mention how comfortable they look on stage in front of 55,000 people. They released a BTS video where Pau said she felt like she was going to throw up before going on stage, and Dany looked very nervous, meanwhile 17 year old Ale appeared to be helping to calm them down. As soon as they start playing though, you can’t tell they’re nervous at all. Recommend Survive at TEDx Talk and Dust to Dust live at Lunario CDMX for 2 of their “classic” fan favorites from the past. 👍😎
Nerves are important. If you aren’t nervous it means you don’t care. It’s about managing those nerves and focusing them to heighten your performance. It’s amazing how pro these guys are.
I wonder if part of the reason is to provide opportunities for audience participation at concerts. I have watched reactors singing those portions of songs by the second chorus.
@@robertott1172 Yeah, that could be a reason, maybe it started just to "fill" spots on some "blank" parts of their songs, but bet they also notice how it worked for other bands to connect with their live audiences.
I'm glad you started doing Warning reactions because I might not have found your channel otherwise. I really like your approach and your music knowledge. Makes me a little envious because I don't have that to draw on for my reactions being self taught but you pick up the slack for what I don't know. Interesting hearing that you are an artist as well which gives us something else in common. Respect!. I look forward to many more from you and have started checking out your other band reactions as well as becoming a subscriber.
Thanks mate! I appreciate that. Specific music knowledge isn’t as important as just being a fan of music! I am envious of people who have an encyclopaedic knowledge of heaps of bands and genres.
I get the impression from listening to them that money was not the prime motivation for their signing with a record label. They are more interested in the promotional opportunities that a label can provide. For sure, the label got them on Metallica's 30th anniversary Blacklist album and a nice "showcase" gig in Las Vegas in front of Wolfgang Van Halen. Opening for the Foo Fighters, Halestorm, and Sammy Hagar are tough gigs to land if you are independent. They love to play live shows.
It's very hard to grow big without being a part of the industry. The big labels are a huge promotion machine and have the keys to a lot of doors. When The Warning have become a name and older, they can deside to go independant again like some bands have done. Like Metallica or Larkin Poe. LP have had a lot bigger success after they left the label, but now they had build a huge network and learned all the tricks.
One of the cool things about this band other than the music is their relationship with the fan's and how generous they are. Recently without a lot warning(pun intended) they livestreamed one their shows on their YT channel, not many band's would do something like that without charging for it☺
Great reaction! These sisters are overwhelmingly talented!! This is an EPIC song with a powerful message! Awesome performance in front of 55.000 people at Foro sol stadium! Viva The Warning !! ⚡⚡⚡
I agree PrymalChaos! There is something about The Warning that is similar to The Beatles, to Aerosmith and AC/DC. Their influences show in their compositions, not the lyrics, the notes on the page. It's compelling, infectious, and a bit addictive! Some might think Money is a "filler" but it's not. I cannot wait for the rest of the MayDay album!!
For some older songs from The Warning, try the music video for 'XXI Century Blood' - it is literally award-winning. I like 'Take Me Down'. Also 'Dust to Dust', which is the intro to their concept album _Queen of the Murder Scene._
Nice reaction! I like that they change song structures, this song is different, but still 100% The Warning! Great riff, and Dany‘s vocals evolved on this record! I am curious to where their journey goes, considering their ages, the journey has just started! Promising future! Thanks, greetings from Germany 👍⚡️🤘
Your take on the lyrics is really interesting. I think they’re shooting for bigger game than just the music business; this song is about people who derive their own self-worth from how much money they have, rather than more important things like love and compassion for their fellow humans. It’s also notable that they’re not exempting themselves from criticism; “Rapacity will be the illness that WE will learn to love.” With regard to the music itself, it’s probably the simplest thing they’ve done recently, but that speaks to their lack of ego when it comes to arrangements. All three sisters collaborate on each other’s parts. As a result, The Warning are a “song first” band. They play what it needs, and no more. Your reactions are brilliant, by the way. Thank you.
I enjoy your reactions. I love the cadence of Dany's voice in this song. You will figure out that The Warning doesn't stick to one style of music, so trying to label the band as doing anthemic power rock, or something else doesn't apply to all of their music--which I like. Listen to the entire Mayday EP and you will understand. I'm not sure why you think the ladies do not use Inearz, because they do. You said that Dany has her own style of writing melodies. Actually, all three ladies participate in writing all aspects of the songs as well as the music for all the instruments (Pau usually starts the process), so it is more accurate to say that The Warning has its own style of writing melodies. The band has been releasing a series of short, behind-the-scene documentaries (5 so far) titled, "The Warning - MAYDAY IN THE MAKING," that provides insight into a number of aspects of the band, including their song writing process.
Sometimes i really wish i knew more about the technical side of music. Way back when, I was kinda known for always liking the "weird" music, and i didn't even know what that was supposed to mean. I really do enjoy THE WARNING a lot, and i never could (and still really can't) put my finger on why. But it makes sense now i guess, it is very a "classic rock" feel, but whether it's Disciple or Choke or whatever, they actually really have cultivated "their" sound, even through different styles of music. It's probably the same reason i enjoy german folk-metal - while a totally different genre, many bands have "their" signature sound, and it is yet the same with a lot of those J-Metal bands, where you simply *can* combine operatic singing with thrash metal riffs, or growling with Barbara Ann... They're all unique in what they're doing, and while i'm still over the moon once anyone puts on Floyd's "Brain Damage", it's just awesome that we are in a time where there's bands that seemingly aren't afraid to do whatever the heck they want to do. And yes, the title and the cash register sound are very, VERY Pink Floyd... And no, this comment doesn't have a point 🤑
🤣🤣🤣 and I enjoyed! especially: "I was kinda known for always liking the "weird" music" I feel ya! I was there too. Lots of symphonic rock, folk metal like Eluveitie
Its interesting that you made the comment 'this isn't a song i would skip when listening to the album'. I've only been a fan for about 3 months, but as far as i can tell, these young women do not create 'filler' songs. There are songs you might prefer at different times, but each has its own merit. As far as older music goes, their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene, is a concept album so its important you listen to the songs in order. The 2 songs I heard first and that hooked me are: Survive - ruclips.net/video/eWg1Wwrm99o/видео.html Dust to Dust - ruclips.net/video/TeIbG8nkOiU/видео.html You also still have Animosity, Mitirio, and Z off the Mayday LP plus Enter Sandman cover with Alessia Cara off the Blacklist album (utter genius). The official video for Animosity is anime, so if you want to see the band I would suggest the live session version or a cut from one of their recent concerts.
I don't know,to me her vocals sound like boring wailing. I am sure it appeals to the real fans. Their music sounds good to me though but I think their music is restricted by being a 3 piece. Need another guitarist.
@@martinwoods1794 , A lot of the big famous rock bands are only bass, drums and 1 guitar player despite being a 4 piece band, the last member are just the singer. If looking for more variations as a 3 piece just make the bass more of a driver of the songs. Or look at what a bass player like Mike Kerr from Royal Blood are doing. RB sound like a guitar driven band, but are just a bass/drums duo. They even got "guitar" solos. 🤘
@@martinwoods1794 a lot of the bands I listen to is a 3 piece band. Jinjer, Butcher Babies, Sumo Cyco, just to name a few. There are a lot of bands that is a 4 piece without a 2nd guitarist. The Warning is a riff band that rely on a tight performance and great lyrics with a solo put in every now and then.
The modern digital recording software, "Pro Tools" has a myriad of sound effect files you can incorporate into a recording. That's where the cash register ring came from. I used the Pro Tools sound effect of a firing .357 Magnum gun over the top of a snare drum 'flam' in a song my band recorded in 2004, to make the flam sound HUGE. It worked! It blows your face off! 😁
I believe the top reason they signed with Lava record is a world tour. A record company has the means to do it. And they'll get that tour or heads well roll. The Warning style of rock is: The Warning rock. 🤘🤘🤘⚡⚡⚡
Do they deserve money? Absolutely IMHO, but that's not what's driving them. To paraphrase an interaction with a previous label trying to sign them years ago, they were asked if they wanted to play in front of crowds of 10,000 if they signed or 100 if they remained independent. They answered 100 because they would be doing it on their own terms. Heavily paraphrased but you get the idea. You should watch their "The Warning - MAYDAY IN THE MAKING" videos, 5 total so far. Here's the playlist from their channel: ruclips.net/video/Ti2vmY3wsgY/видео.html And for more backstory, there was a documentary recently released: ruclips.net/video/s7iQG0ug4HI/видео.html Edit: While the making of videos don't really have any spoilers for you, the documentary does. One song that gets a lot of play late in the documentary is their Spanish language song from the Mayday EP called Martirio. You might want to do a reaction to that one before watching the doc. Anything else played in the doc is too short to be much of a spoiler. Martirio => ruclips.net/video/KRA3nMzF31M/видео.html
You got it right, again. I just watched them live, and I can tell you that the whole crowd was chanting "cash" and "money" like madmen. They do have a nack for that stuff. Everything I would recommend is already in the comments. Finally, I noticed that I can subscribe again from my phone, so there you go!
HE WARNING AND THE ENORMOUS QUALITY OF ITS THEMES, LYRICS, MUSIC AND INTERPRETATION, PAU, ALE AND DANY ARE POWER, ENERGY AND PASSION, THE BEST TRIO OF CURRENT ROCK, MONEY ANOTHER GREAT THEME A ROCK OF POWER, A MIX OF OLD AND NEW ROCK THAT ONLY TW IS ABLE TO CREATE, THE BEST ROCK TRIO 2022
There's a behind the scenes video of the concert where I believe Dany and Pau are clearly shown with in-ears. I'm guessing that if they have them, Ale does too. They were so incredibly nervous before the show. It's their home country's biggest stadium, a place they've been to as fans, and they're opening for one of their hero bands. I'm so proud of them.
Pau writes nearly all of the melodies for their songs. If you really want to see how great these ladies have become, do a double comparison reaction. 2014 "Enter Sandman" cover vs 2021 remake for the Black List album. Remember they created 1 LP and 2 full albums, including a concept album before the eldest was 18. Their magic is a fantastic combination of thought provoking lyrics, musicality, and composition. No one shows off, just to show off! There instruments and lyrics all fit like a perfect puzzle. I'm one of those people who hates some show off solo that, for me, interrupts the flow of the song. The Warning are masters at placing solos and fills that only feed the song. Amazing!!!
As far as I know, their creativity, their music, their image is safe, they were never for sale, they can look straight ahead and sing that song with all authority.
There were lots of subtle licks throughout on guitar, bass and drums all but the all set in the pocket of the groove. I could see a mix where the sweet guitar licks were a bit more forward in the mix to punch through as accents. But I love their sense of composition and how their playing always serves the song.
They have a couple songs in Spanish I think you will really enjoy. Martirio off their recently released Mayday EP and Narcisista, a withering response to critics in their own country who were labeling them as cultural traitors for not singing in Spanish. Both are absolute bangers in entirely different ways. And good observation on the arena rock bit. They have said this is the first album where they achieved their desire to do music that sounds like arena style songs right off the album.
I like your concept of matching the beat or groove to the theme of the lyrics... Certainly one of their songs (Wildfire) very much has a soldier's march type cadence to it (at least toward the end) and it's very much a call to arms kind of song.
I've watched many of your reactions especially your reaction to The Warning. If you are up to it I would love for you to react to their Queen of the Murder Scene album. I want to know what you think about each song and the entire album because it's a concept album that tells a story. If you decide to do it, you should listen/watch the songs in order to get the story. Lastly, love your reaction and thoughts as always
@@PrymalChaos I think you have gone far enough down the rabbit hole to have become a "Warning Uncle (or Aunty)" A term used by the Warning Army and the band for Boomers who are players appreciate them! for their skills. Here is a link I just found of The Warning on stage with another band with Pau out front showing her perfect front person unleased, sound a bit off but it gets better. Just look at her stage presence. She can do anything! ruclips.net/video/O5-bbmDm2PE/видео.html
Love these girls. Love this performance. Dust to Dust and Queen of the Murder Scene are my favorite songs from them. They have like 15 great songs. I want to see them and Blackpink colab and perform together.
For earlier material start with xxi blood (music video), black holes at dakota bar, dust to dust & crimson queen live at lunario (actually, the whole concert from start to finish), shattered heart at whiskey a go go, & a cover, atlas rise (metallica) at whiskey a go go. If u havent seen the beginning of them, enter sandman cover from 2014 when they were 9,12,&14.
Part of the reason they sound new is the Warning spent years as kids covering classic metal band songs on RUclips from a home studio. 2017”s XXI Century Blood was their first album of original content and sounded like it. The band really hit its stride a year later with Queen of the Murder Scene. Ale made a big leap forward with punchy baselines, which now would often drive the band’s songs. Dani and Pau’s song writing improved to the point where they could write a coherent concept album and their vocal range expanded noticeably. This album got them signed to a record company, who could provide the production and support you noticed in the new Mayday album and concurrent singles Money and another cover of Sandman. Their current tour should broaden their audience. I suspect this will be the last time I will be able to see them at a Denver indi music bar for twenty bucks. They are destined for stadiums.
They grew Inca music appreciation environment family watching pink Floyd, Queen, Billie Joel, AC/DC etc so they're influenced by them the Old Good hard rock vibe with their own twist in it that is unique
I think their song writing are heavily influenced that they despite what some fans still seems to think, not are typical classic rock or metal fans. They listen mostly to newer music and a lot of pop and asian stuff. The bands mentor (and Ale' bass teacher) that also learned them song writing are not a rock guy, but into jazz/funk and all three ladies started with learning classical piano. It's not really the expected background for becoming a hard rock band.
I think their relation with their record company is good, but they talked to enough along the way that were not. Despite that, it seems from everything they have said, this song isn't really about themselves but an overall worldly observation. All three are pretty smart and avid readers so they have more on their minds than usual "party-rock" topics.
I have to say that you are one of the best reactors on RUclips. Not only do you react but you dissect the entire song. Nice. You mentioned that you would like to check out some of their older songs. I suggest you react to Dust to Dust live at Lunario CDMX. Pau sings lead. Ale was 13, Pau was 16 and Dany was 18. You could tell even back then, this is a very special band.
For live check out their Lunario CDMX concert. From 3 years ago. But shows them totally in their element on stage. Maybe start with _Dull Knives,_ but really any songs will do.
Excited for you to delve into their back catalog, I would recommend anything from 'The Queen of the Murder Scene' - though since it's a concept album, it's best to start with the first track and work your way linearly. QOTMS is a young woman's journey of unrequited love, obsession, murder and madness, and the battle between her good side and her inner demons. 'Dust to Dust' - ruclips.net/video/TeIbG8nkOiU/видео.html Link above is a live performance from Lunario CDMX where they debuted the full album, and this is the prologue to the subsequent 4 chapters. Here you get to see Pau takes lead vocal on this song, as she sometimes does.
Definitely they are getting what they deserve, they are going to be huge sooner than later, if you want to check out more talented band from Mexico give a try to Zero Killed feat Björn "Speed" Strid (Soilwork) by SENSE OF NOISE, heavier but catchy and very very well produced metal.
If you want some of there older stuff 7 years ago when they were 14 12 and 9 years old they did a cover of Metallica's entire sandman and you can find it on RUclips
There are several good versions of this song. The official video, the Teatro Metropolitan version, and this one. I really prefer this one because Dany's expressions are so entertaining, especially when she glances over at Ale.
This is not actually live audio, but the recorded version overlying the live performance for the video. There were audio issues that prevented the live audio to be used. Evolve from the same show is fully live.
I don't think they were talking about their current record deal as ,you correctly said, it took them 7 months to negotiate their terms. They were adamant on their creative content and also the continuation of their patreon. Many record labels had tried to sign them but they stood firm until they found the deal was firstly right for them and then for the record deal. You should check out their TedX talk show where they touch on this subject and perform 3 great songs. Unmendable, When I'm alone and the fan favourite Survive. This was about 5 years ago in 2017.it is about 18 minutes long if you have the time to react to it. Cheers Chaos.🤟
Thank you for another great The Warning video! I really enjoy your style of reaction/analysis. For a really great older performance I highly recommend their 2nd TedX talk! ruclips.net/video/pj5ue3M-v6o/видео.html I also really love Dany's bluesy guitar solo in "Show Me the Light" from Dakota Bar. Pau sings and plays keyboard. Very beautiful song! ruclips.net/video/3CJ1KRhMxeE/видео.html
I think you would enjoy looking back to their 2017 TedX performance which includes a bit of dialog between songs: ruclips.net/video/pj5ue3M-v6o/видео.html Another historical achievement is their first official music video for a song of their own composition: ruclips.net/video/syTyga3lVL0/видео.html
If you want a song to wow someone, there are several from every era of the evolution of this band but maybe this one is more of a connection to their current sound, please react to Queen of the Murder Scene - ruclips.net/video/OHN0-arxsx4/видео.html or Dust to Dust (D2D) - ruclips.net/video/TeIbG8nkOiU/видео.html - - It's from their previous full album. Bear in mind, that this is a live performance (no studio sound) from their concert to debut this album, in Mexico City, so the altitude was 7,000ft. AND they were 18, 16, 13 (I believe) or you can react to the version from their current 2022 MayDay Tour - ruclips.net/video/Fn6BEu_8ciA/видео.html). Also, great reaction!
@@PrymalChaos Your welcome PC! Great job so far (I subbed a while back). I have been hosting The Warning Saturdays (Twitch) for the past #74 weeks in succession!!! You should drop by sometime!
Grandioso reaction as per usual from you ♠! Having said this, I wonder how you would react to these songs when you would know their entire older catalogue. Queen of the Murder Scene (QOTMS) is a concept album and I recommend you to do the entire live concert from Lunario [ruclips.net/video/9VciU3gMMUY/видео.html] in one take. The music starts from 12 min 25 seconds. I assure you, you won't skip a song☺. I think these lyrics and music will give you a better insight of their future capabilities. Going back even further the predecessor from Money has to be the title song of the album XX1CB. When you think of the maturity of songwriting at that age, is something truly special. They are very intelligent, that's for sure. Other classics on that album amongst others are Survive and Black Holes (Both WOW). I advise you to take the live versions or special versions like the unique three songs from Pau on the piano. By the way did you know that The Warning after their own tour, will support Halestorm and Pretty Reckless on their tour playing locations from a capacity ± 3.000 to ± 18.500. Piece by piece the puzzle of music domination is being laid. 2 3 GO. Post scriptum: you won't have to react to this, just lay this text under your pillow☺☺
Another solid and informative reaction on your part. Picking up on the bands 70’s Classic Rock influences and pointing them out is one of the many reasons why your reactions are better than most. Also, the description of Pau’s drumming that I’ve always liked is that she’s basically like the Muppet Animal back there.
If you’re looking for suggestions on where to go next, “Narcisista” is still my main suggestion for all the reasons it was before (Pau sings lead, it’s in Spanish, and there’s a guitar solo). However, if you’re looking to go further back in their career their live performance of “Survive” from their Ted Talk is definitely worth checking out (ruclips.net/video/E62SVvLw9FI/видео.html). My other suggestion for their older stuff is the first song from the excellent Queen of the Murder Scene concept album “Dust to Dust”. If you react to any songs off QotMS (and you really should, the entire album from start to finish is awesome), I highly suggest the live videos from Lunario CDMX as Dany really gets into her “character” as the Crimson Queen.
I appreciate your reactions Prymal! Check out the crowd from the stage from their manager Rudy's 1 minute cellphone recording 👇 ruclips.net/video/-SdwAsPNnHE/видео.html 🗣Thank you! 🤘🤠💯🔥
Sorry, but they do use in-ears. And a click track which is the one thing I could gripe about. I'd like them to be more organic live. The less they have to rely on a backing track...who knows? Still love them though :-)
My thoughts on that is that is pretty simple. I use in ears because it’s infinitely better for your long term hearing, but also you can hear your performance with unprecedented quality. The better you can hear the more confident you can perform. As far as click tracks go, they’re almost necessary these days with lighting and synced video production. Either way I’m sure these guys put on a killer show regardless. 🤟
You should really check out Blackbriar arms of the oceans. Zora is a master storyteller Her beautiful vocals contrasted by masterful symphonic metal band. And if you're thinking oh it must be like nightwish or epica, You would be wrong. Blackbriar's Zora sounds like no one else.

Agreed. There is something raw, genuine and powerful about her vocals. She is an incredible talent and outstanding front woman.

Fact
Ale is the stage mom.
Their "oh" chorus is the band trademark by now🤟👍
I wonder if part of the reason is to provide opportunities for audience participation at concerts. I have watched reactors singing those portions of songs by the second chorus.
@@robertott1172 Yeah, that could be a reason, maybe it started just to "fill" spots on some "blank" parts of their songs, but bet they also notice how it worked for other bands to connect with their live audiences.
I think sometimes they use "oh" in the same way larger bands use keyboards or a horn section.
They negotiated for 6 or 7 months. One of their documentary videos they spoke on that.
Metallica's 30th anniversary Blacklist album had nothing to do with the label. Metallica have been supporters of them for a few years.
One of the cool things about this band other than the music is their relationship with the fan's and how generous they are. Recently without a lot warning(pun intended) they livestreamed one their shows on their YT channel, not many band's would do something like that without charging for it☺
Very cool!
It’s a great song.
For some older songs from The Warning, try the music video for 'XXI Century Blood' - it is literally award-winning. I like 'Take Me Down'. Also 'Dust to Dust', which is the intro to their concept album _Queen of the Murder Scene._
Right on!
Can’t wait to check out more.
Hola!. I love this new aspect of The Warning's music, at the same time so fresh and so related to the rock of a lifetime.
Nice! They signed with Lava in 2020. This song about how money corrupts you.
AFAIK, most stuff started with Pau's ideas, and then they create the full song of it.
Your take on the lyrics is really interesting. I think they’re shooting for bigger game than just the music business; this song is about people who derive their own self-worth from how much money they have, rather than more important things like love and compassion for their fellow humans. It’s also notable that they’re not exempting themselves from criticism; “Rapacity will be the illness that WE will learn to love.”
With regard to the music itself, it’s probably the simplest thing they’ve done recently, but that speaks to their lack of ego when it comes to arrangements. All three sisters collaborate on each other’s parts. As a result, The Warning are a “song first” band. They play what it needs, and no more.
Your reactions are brilliant, by the way. Thank you.
Thanks Rob! Yeah I think you may be right. At least that’s the consensus Lin the comments.
It’s a great song. I’m glad I found these guys!
Thanks Robert! These guys rock.
The song is about Greed and how corrupted society is by gold, money and the morals of it
Sometimes i really wish i knew more about the technical side of music.
They actually do use Inearz (and have been for years). Also, they are fans of 70's rock. (ie Queen, Pink Floyd, AC-DC)
I believe they are sponsored by Inearz think it was one of there first along with Orange Amps.
The 2 songs I heard first and that hooked me are:
Survive - ruclips.net/video/eWg1Wwrm99o/видео.html
Dust to Dust - ruclips.net/video/TeIbG8nkOiU/видео.html
You also still have Animosity, Mitirio, and Z off the Mayday LP plus Enter Sandman cover with Alessia Cara off the Blacklist album (utter genius). The official video for Animosity is anime, so if you want to see the band I would suggest the live session version or a cut from one of their recent concerts.
That's because they don't know what a filler song is.
No pre recorded crap going on here, just a smart dual sound setup from the bass: ruclips.net/video/Fkpl5p4BVEA/видео.html
Less is more! Definitely their thing. Best ballad “ Show me the light” the other end of the spectrum.
I wouldn't be surprised if the register "ching" came directly from Pink Floyd's "Money".
Dany loves Gilmour.
Thanks!
Here's the playlist from their channel:
ruclips.net/video/Ti2vmY3wsgY/видео.html
And for more backstory, there was a documentary recently released:
ruclips.net/video/s7iQG0ug4HI/видео.html
Edit: While the making of videos don't really have any spoilers for you, the documentary does. One song that gets a lot of play late in the documentary is their Spanish language song from the Mayday EP called Martirio. You might want to do a reaction to that one before watching the doc. Anything else played in the doc is too short to be much of a spoiler.
Martirio => ruclips.net/video/KRA3nMzF31M/видео.html
You got it right, again. I just watched them live, and I can tell you that the whole crowd was chanting "cash" and "money" like madmen. They do have a nack for that stuff.
Everything I would recommend is already in the comments.
Finally, I noticed that I can subscribe again from my phone, so there you go!
Huh. No way! 🤟
If you aren’t nervous, it means you don’t care. Nerves are great. The challenge is learning how to focus them. 🤟
Yeah me too!
This is a real analysis/ reaction video. Your passionate about music. The “ARMY “ doth grow……🤘
Thank you!
I like your concept of matching the beat or groove to the theme of the lyrics... Certainly one of their songs (Wildfire) very much has a soldier's march type cadence to it (at least toward the end) and it's very much a call to arms kind of song.
Nice! I’ll take a look at it.
Good tip. Thanks for the heads up.
@@waynesmith2287 oh nice! Thanks Wayne! I’ll take a look.
Yeah. I can certainly see that in their future. Especially now they’ve done a few major stadium shows.
They grew Inca music appreciation environment family watching pink Floyd, Queen, Billie Joel, AC/DC etc so they're influenced by them the Old Good hard rock vibe with their own twist in it that is unique
Danny have said that his guitar riffs and likes, she get en firsts vocally and then she replicate them on the guitar
Indeed! Very true!
I think their relation with their record company is good, but they talked to enough along the way that were not. Despite that, it seems from everything they have said, this song isn't really about themselves but an overall worldly observation. All three are pretty smart and avid readers so they have more on their minds than usual "party-rock" topics.
It’s a good move to try to compose with layers. It’s nice to supplement rocking tracks with a deeper meaning. Great writing.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Great reaction! The Warning are awesome!!
'Dust to Dust' - ruclips.net/video/TeIbG8nkOiU/видео.html
Link above is a live performance from Lunario CDMX where they debuted the full album, and this is the prologue to the subsequent 4 chapters.
Oh cool! Thanks for the tip!
This song like Animosity and Z the more you listen to them they just get better and better.,
The Warning DOES use in-ear monitors, primarily because they play to a click. Pau triggers it for each song from a laptop mounted on her drum rack.
If you are able to use them, they are a game changer. Specifically when it comes to industrial deafness.
If I'm not mistaken this song was written before the negotiations and signing with Lava.
David Bendeth produced their last album and apparently said that he loved to play jokes on Dany and Pao but not on Ele cause she scared him!
If you want some of there older stuff 7 years ago when they were 14 12 and 9 years old they did a cover of Metallica's entire sandman and you can find it on RUclips
Saw them with The Pretty Reckless back in August. They definitely brought it! 🤘🏻
Very, very interesting review. Thanks for the insights, PC
Thanks for watching!
There are several good versions of this song. The official video, the Teatro Metropolitan version, and this one. I really prefer this one because Dany's expressions are so entertaining, especially when she glances over at Ale.
Hope they get more from the record company than the record company gets from them.
Yeah it sounds like they got the greatest record deal in history!

They are Much better live !!!
Alejandra is for sure channeling some Joan Jett and Lita Ford style

Nice reaction
Thank you!
Maybe one day I’ll do a live stream and kick out a whole performance. That would be cool.
Dani you rock
Thanks for the compliments mate! I will definitely be looking at some of their older stuff in the near future!
Please react to Martirio next, their most recent release in spanish.

What a show! Were they slated to tour more with the foo fighters or was this a one off thing?
I🖤TW🤘
Sorry, but they do use in-ears. And a click track which is the one thing I could gripe about. I'd like them to be more organic live. The less they have to rely on a backing track...who knows? Still love them though :-)
My thoughts on that is that is pretty simple. I use in ears because it’s infinitely better for your long term hearing, but also you can hear your performance with unprecedented quality. The better you can hear the more confident you can perform. As far as click tracks go, they’re almost necessary these days with lighting and synced video production.
Either way I’m sure these guys put on a killer show regardless. 🤟
I think you need to read the lyrics before jumping.
You should really check out Blackbriar arms of the oceans. Zora is a master storyteller
Her beautiful vocals contrasted by masterful symphonic metal band.
And if you're thinking oh it must be like nightwish or epica, You would be wrong. Blackbriar's Zora sounds like no one else.
