Haha well, in Australia we've let gambling run riot and now it's a huge part of the economy and incredibly damaging to the people. Australia is the worst for losses per person with $1,288.

@@TheSilmarillian everybody that says this eventually catches it and then they see how truly devastating it actually can be. To me I think it's actually better to have lost already and not been burned completely and for some reason lucked up and finally realizing how to stop. Like I lost a few thousand and then Black Friday happened and stopped online poker but I already lost all my money and so I never even wanted to do it ever again and luckily this actually stuck and I've since then not gambled and I know why and how to never do it again because it's just one of the worst ideas ever whether it's in so-called smart gambling like poker versus craps and casino games. In my opinion eventually no matter how smart your gamble is you're probably going to lose anything and that's just the basic rule of gambling and even investments in the end you know?

Sports betting is game changing. So glad it was finally legalized. Track your wins and losses, maintain discipline, and you’ll do just fine. I recommend Positive EV betting to beat the system.

What’s the most messed-up is IF you happen to win enough to make money over the long haul, even if just playing your standard single game, point spread bets, they will limit your play to virtually nothing (and I’ve heard even ban bettors). Which is ridiculous, because they shouldn’t care who wins or losses those types of bets, as long as the individual bets are not last-minute huge bets that can actually affect their bottom line, because they just want equal enough action on each game to make the money off the vigorish (that’s why the line moves). If I win 100% of my bets, they shouldn’t care.

Winning at sports betting does require skill. Skilled sports bettors can win easily. That's why most of the sportsbooks limit winners.
