I don't think the depression is necessarily from the fame. She has bipolar disorder and she's been channeling her manic energy into her career. She told them she needed time off and waited too long to do so. She's overdue for a depression.

I have Bipolar disorder and Selena Gomez is the only one I know that doesn't fly off the handle having it. I take meds and I'm not severe, but ones who are- are very likely to get baker-acted or hospitalized due to episodes. For me there's no good stereotypes in the media either. Many people have a mental health crisis but aren't Bipolar.
-Its sad how depression affects us all now. Kayne is my example of untreated Bipolar. I couldn't imagine the anxiety of fame as an artist.

I think it's because in the 80s and 90s it felt like almost every kid had the same name of at least 3 others in their class.
If you were a girl; you were more than likely a Sarah, Jessica, Jennifer, Ashley, Amanda or Heather. Jennifer was frequently paired with Lynn as a middle name.
If you were a boy, you were probably a Shawn, Michael, Jonathan, Jeffrey or Justin.
There were so many girls with my name growing up that I actually stopped responding to my name outside of home; it was never me being called. I didn't want my children to suffer similar experiences. With my son, unfortunately it seems I gave him the 2005 Shawn, Michael, Jonathan. With my daughter, it seems she's the only Her Name in her school. But it's nothing like Gravity or Apple.

Maybe I’m just unaware of how employment in USA works, but where I live, you not only can skip a day or 5 due to your mental health or any other type of illness, but also you would still get payed 80% of your normal salary for the days you miss. It is also illegal to fire someone on a sick leave. Isn’t that an universal rule? Please educate me
To clarify - that has to be proved by a doctor but I never had an issue with them ever giving the excuse paper.
It is automatically visible in the system the moment you leave the doctor’s office but also you have to notify your employer that you take a sick day.
