need to often add the bs= line. When I ran the default on a 5TB drive I got 10Mb/sec speed of zeroing.
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/ada0 status=progress (10Mb/sec) would take 5 days
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/ada0 bs=1M status=progress (207 Mb/sec) will under 5 hours
