Great podcast , my father used to have a huge video cassette collection of hollywood and telugu movies and he had rendu rellu aaru movie , we used to watch that movie a lot growing up in the 90s. Thanks to your podcast got to know about your father . Chantabbai is also one of my favorite chiru movies.

My absolute all time favorite movie ever. I do not even know where to begin. It is the one and the only time my favorite movie star Chiru collaborated with the legendary Jandhyala. And the movie has become a cult classic. Almost every single scene, every single dialogue oozes with Jandhyala's quintessential wit and sharpness. No vulgarity, no double entendres. I love how pure and chaste the Telugu dialogues were in this movie. The witticism of Jandhayala is unparalleled. And to Chiru - it is insanely amazing that while he has built his star power based on his dances and action sequences - his comedic timing and prowess is no less effective. He truly is an all round actor. He was absolutely hilarious in this movie and he did not even need to deploy his fights and dances in this movie to his full potential. I have so many favorite scenes in this movie - but his conversation with "Inspector Saumithri" - his reaction to Suhasini entering his office room while he is practicing his conversation with her are some of them which immediately come to mind. And who can forget the legendary sequence between Sri Lakshmi and the editor - "Metthani Gundrayi" - "Inupa Guggillu" haha. Amazing. Thanks for covering my favorite movie. And my heartfelt thank you to Sri Malladi garu and thank you to the ladies for bringing him on here. It was a privilege to listen to him.
