IM WAITING FOR MORE ORNAMENT DIYS 2024 😭😭 WE NEED MORE NEW ONES THIS YEAR! GONNA MAKE THESE THIS YEAR AS CLOE AS POSSIBLE! So modern and minimalistic! Very Scandinavian-Type/Netherlands Vibes 🩵🇳🇱
I am in the process of making about 20 of the little hats for relatives. If you cut a piece of cardboard the length of the piece of yarn, and wrap it 50 times (100 pieces), then slip your scissors to the top and cut all the yarn at once, then fold in half and cut again, you will have 100 pieces in a couple of minutes! Also, I combined eyelash yarn with regular yarn for the women, and they are absolutely darling!! Also, I ran a long needle through the pom pom for the hanger, (tied with several knots), stuffed will poly fill, and then glued a round of felt to the bottom to finish off. I also combined 3 different colors. They are so darn cute! Can't wait to give them!!
So many creative crafts that I can do with my older daughters/students. I love it! I always feel like stuff is too complex or too easy but these are cost effective and they can make them as unique as they want.
You have such a great imagination! I have loved watching these Dollar Store hacks. I can’t decide which one is my favorite but I am definitely going to try to do several of these! Thank you!
That’s the best velvet effect I’ve seen yet. I’ve watched videos with several other crafters trying it, but yours are by far the best looking I’ve seen!
Thank you!! Honestly, I tried a few different times and almost didn’t share this one cause I wasn’t happy with the first versions 😂 But I found a technique that worked!
I've made hundreds of those hats. I also crochet mini yarn baskets and make tiny balls and put in basket with tooth picks for needles. They are cute as well. Love all your ideas.
Omg I’m so excited about the velvet texture ornaments!! They turned out stunning!! 🖤🤎💚🤍 oh and I love that you don’t use hot glue! 🤷🏻♀️ 😊 I must get me some of the amazing glue you’re using! Your channel is my new addiction! 🤩😁
Every one of these ornaments was stunning. I also really appreciated that you made lots of each ornament in various colours and showed them hung on the tree. It really highlighted how beautifully they all worked together. 😊
Lindi, dollar store who? The ornaments are awesome. I love the baubles the most. I purchased a couple on etsy in a brown muted color and they are gorgeous but I think I can diy my own using your technique. I love the ski hats and the gift boxes as well. Share more Lindi. I'm thinking of making holiday gifts this year and this video is one to rewatch. Happy Holidays! 🫶🏽🤎👍🏽
Another wonderful collection, Lindi! I have made the little hats using a slightly larger cardboard tube and use them as wine bottle tops when I take take wine to a gathering. 🍾
Omg. The white out pen!!! Genius!!! These are the first ones I’ve seen that I’ve liked and it’s the white out. Looks cleaner. I love it!! And those hats.
It you make a 2nd little mop, put a runner band or piece of yarn down the middle, fold in half and hot glue it to the inside of the hat you can make Gnome ornaments. Just add a wood nose and trim a bit to shape & make part of the heard a mustache.
Everything turned out absolutely beautiful. I like them all. Very creative and inspiring. Thanks for sharing. Until your next video. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Lindi...you are so talented; the ornaments were all beautiful. My favorites were the gifts and the little hats. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your familly🦃
I bought flocking for velvet ornaments on Temu it wasn’t expensive but I wish I had spent the 20 bucks for the electrostatic applicator. This is a great idea I tried it, mine didn’t come out as good.
That’s a great option! TEMU doesn’t really have a good reputation (there are lots of RUclips videos about their practices if you’re interested) so I haven’t looked there.
@@LindiandRuss I’ve seen some of that. A couple of points. Many of the products Amazon carries are Temu products marked up in price. They had a problem with their app being hacked. Apps are programs running all the time none of them are secure unfortunately, which is why I don’t use them. I’ve got a long list of content creators, friends and neighbors who shop there through the browser. I’ve not had a problem with them, but I understand peoples hesitancy. That being said dollar tree also carries temu products. Hard to escape this. When I was growing up it was all made in Japan lol. Anyway the flocking is used by model builders like for Ho train backgrounds etc. You apply it to wet glue, I use mod podge. The electrostatic device uses a static charge to draw the flock onto the piece. It’s a lot more finicky to work with without that. Your ornaments come out beautiful so it’s a great alternative option.
You are so talented and creative. I love your style. The monochromatic gift boxes and the velvet bulbs are my favorite! What color did you use for the grey-ish "velvet" ones? Or was it a mixture of two colors?
Hey there..I watched ur video last nite w the 30 DIY'S..I commented that Ur style is my style..Loved everything!! Went to dollar tree and found nothing!! Do you shop in $tree Pluss?? I'm so disappointed!! Hope to find the little houses to assemble, the wood nutcrackers and more..Thx again for the Inspo🥰
I'm not sure if anybody has said this yet but if you want to use them as ornaments I need a tree just tie a darker piece of yarn or leather or you could probably feed fishing line through it tie one side tie the other and make ittree ready
Everything is from Dollar Tree or Dollarama in Canada. In this video everything was dollar tree except the stars and acorns. But there are some stars at dollar tree too!
I really enjoy your channel and all of your creations. ❤️ Just my opinion and feedback... the music is always really, really loud compared to the volume of your beautiful voice. I have to adjust my volume 7-8x per video in all of your videos. I'm not intending to be rude just giving feedback. I listen and watch with earpods which may be why I'm sensitive to the music being so much louder than your talking/tutorial portions, I just don't run into this on other channels. Thanks so much and again if I come off rude I'm not intending to, sorry if I do.
I enjoyed your video, all great ideas that didn't look cheap. However, I had to turn the sound off halfway through. Your mic quality was so muffled, only your vocal fry came through . Especially, with the too high music levels. It's just not needed. You have great ideas. Let them shine. 😊🌲
The dollar store holiday decor video is coming up next! 🎄 Who’s ready?! 🎄

velvet christmas boxes and balls and the little beanie are the best
Agreed :)
My son and I immediately made the hats. He was so excited about the finished product and they are adorable on the tree. Thank you!!
Best comment all day!! Love that! 🙌🎄

Great idea, I think your daughter or students would love these! Thanks for watching :)
Love these, but the gift boxes are my favorites ❤🎉❤🎉

Love the velvet like ornaments.
Thank you!! 🎄 I was so happy with how they turned out!
Great ideas! Fun to do with the family too. Btw, baking soda doesn’t change the color of the paint. I use it all the time with dark colored paint. 👍
Thank you! And good to know 😂😂
I think my favourite are the gift boxes but as always each of them were lovely.
Thank you! 😊
The shades of green you created are gorgeous!
Thank you!! Just add a little black to your dollar store paints and you’ll find them!

Beautiful ornaments!! Thank you for sharing. 😄😄

Just a tip... look for jewelry i-hooks. They are tiny, so they work for so many craft ideas. I use them in character toys to make keychains

Linda, your ideas are so unique. No one has done any of your projects. So beautiful! Where do you get the leather cording from?
@@dishapatel6049 thank you!! 🥰 I usually get it off Amazon - there’s a link in the description ❤️
Love the velvet ornaments- what do you think would happen if you combined the paint and baking soda for the last coat?
I think it would just create a lumpy texture. It wouldn’t have the same “faux velvet” look that you get from the white baking soda being on top ❤️

Hello, I was wondering if there is a video on the lighted star ornaments in garland in video?
Love your channel!
Those weren't a DIY :) Thanks so much for watching!
Need to know where you got all your garlands. I love both styles.
They are all fresh greenery from our yard! But we have some great faux garlands linked in our recent sustainable Christmas video.
Did I miss you making the wire frame Christmas trees on the counter behind you? If you purchased them can you share from where? Thanks!
They were bought but I don't remember from where (have had them a couple years)
Have you done a light up Christmas box out of hangers?
I have not - will have to look into that! Thanks for watching!
How did you make the miniature trees behind you? I love those!!!
