Welcome to झटपट रेसिपी ! Today, we're making a classic Indian snack - Kanda Bhaji, also known as crispy onion fritters. Perfect for rainy days, these golden-brown delights are easy to make and incredibly delicious.
*Ingredients:*
3 large onions, thinly sliced
1 cup gram flour (besan)
2 tbsp rice flour
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
1-2 green chilies, finely chopped
A handful of fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Oil for frying
*Instructions:*
1. In a large mixing bowl, add the sliced onions, green chilies, and coriander leaves.
2. Add salt and mix well. Let it sit for 10 minutes to release moisture.
3. Add gram flour, rice flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and carom seeds to the onions.
4. Mix everything well. If needed, sprinkle a little water to bind the mixture.
5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat.
6. Drop small portions of the mixture into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
7. Remove and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
8. Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
