Does the edge angle set by the sharpening guide depend on the width of the knife being sharpened? Maybe the sharpening guide can't be used on thin knives?
You've been ripped off. That's not a premium stone, it's a regular soft 1000/6000 stone available from ebay/amazon for like 3 bucks, lots of companies buy them in bulk, slap on their logo on the side and resell them heavily overpriced.
