Yeah, not to mention in path when anything attacks it makes a loud warning before it does. Bone break, charge bites, and so on.
These deinos are annoying. This is the main one people die from constantly now in the game. It's hard to play as any gators because there is always someone on the server that is full grown traveling back and forth with a group to kill you.

I think its less to save them and more to avoid the “you didnt do anything” convo
You never know if they're hurt already. Could be enough to finish them if they're starving or something.
Plus at least it gets them a little hurt so if they get attacked by another croc they'll probably die first. Just better off than doing nothing and letting them have the meal for free.
Thats why i rarely drink water, except the spots i know cant fit any deino big enough to yoink me from the shore.

Deino needs a counter so bad. That said those Ceras need to learn the safe drinking spots.
See the problem with deinos or crocs in general is that they have perfected themselves since the dawn of time. And that translates to game. They will sit in the water and food will come to them, they have the ability to effortlessly pull their meal into the water making death almost inevitable. Deinos in particular are so big that they aren’t easy prey on land. It’s hard to balance a creature in a game that’s broken irl without shitting on the image of the creature.

Like you said, the only way you can make them "balanced" is by breaking them and making them A) not a reflection of reality at all, and B) not able to do anything.
Like you said, they do one or two very specific things very well, and thats both exactly, and all that they are designed for :-p

Bro I've seen just about everything kill a croc . From pythons to hippos . They are sturdy but far from invincible. So yes there not perfect there should be a counter

Deinonsuchus is an ok idea, but there are too many of them on ever server
Developers could do a limit for them in server. For example 5 slots in one server

To be fair. In nature, it was such a successful design that it's still around today (just the fun sized version though).
Because of hyper aggressive herbie players. They're more aggressive than hungry predators and honestly the only thing that can take things on by itself is a Deino. Even then, get caught on land by two or more Stegos, it's a wrap.
I play isle a lot and it is like having a panic attack when a croc ambushes you if you play the game you would know the feeling

i was playing as a yellow and black cera after a fight with carnos and i was in a panic so i drank from a not very safe river and the next thing i knew i was in a death hold by a croc

Fun fact: when an actual crocodile drags you into the water, they don't just wait for you to drown. They hold onto a limb and then start rolling as fast as they can until it gets torn off. It's called a "Death Roll"
When I am a dinosaur in Evrima ( that isn’t a Deino ) I fear the water a lot, like I am so scared to drink because I never know whenever I got killed by a croc ( never happened to me before and plus I mostly like being a croc but if it happens to me, idk how I would react )

Wish they implemented a death roll and dismemberment. I know the Deinosuchus does a death roll with eating in the water and you can tear organs out of corpses, but I'd like to see a death roll attack that can actually dismember other players' limbs. It's wishful thinking, but it'd still be awesome if they did that

See this is realism. If this were path the cera’s would jump in the water somehow manage to kill sarco or have a mix pack of ducks and other sarcs with them to get you. This is why the isle should have went to console not path 😢

2 cera killing a sarco in path?? Maybe if the sarco is absolute trash. Mix packing also exists in the isle. No one wants to play the isle cuz it’s boring bush camping as a juvie until you can actually play the game. Then you just get 1 shot by a sarco there goes 3 hours of bush camping for nothing.

They need fix to coroc not be canibals see beter in Waters and add them more hp self healing big demage fast and bit force biger then t rex

PoT just.... doesnt feel right.
Ive played tab targeted MMOs that give me more rewarding, consistent, crisp, and clear interactions and feedback.
If PoT could get this stuff even close to right I might actually consider switching.
I get why darkest left TI for sure(I dont think theres a person alive who can stand Dondi and his inner circle, including themselves), but.... What a way to take a good decision and run every bit of its virtue into the ground.

I get it tho, they are... well not that different, but they do have a different feel to them. I prefer PoT since it feels a bit slower paced imo.

@@BotThot because, in my opinion, the game Is evolving constantly, adding new features and new playstile with each new dinosaur. Plus some dinosaurs are more accurate and more fun to play.

Man, I played as a deino earlier today with 5 full grown deinos (I was baby). I looked away for a second and out of nowhere I got tail-wacked by the stealthiest idk-the-name-of-it in the world.
they really have to implement something to sense or sent a deino might be in the water or something. its a complete gamble everytime. that why you see all players try to drink from a cheese spot where the deino cant lunge out for an attack. all you can do it try to fake drink and if nothing attacked you then you might be okey but good deino players wait till you take a couple sips. its gives the game a good horror effect, keeps the tension going nothing wrong with that but having to worry everytime you drink sucks ass, especially when youve been growing for hours…

The fact that there are "popular areas" ruins the game. Even tho you have that huge map the lack of AI and the concentration of players in 2-3 locations makes for a pretty boring and repetitive experience.

Logically, that dinosaur should have been dead from a single bite from deinosuchus, like heck these guys are known to even kill a rex in one ambush, let alone a dinosaur that small, you won't even need to bring them to river, they are already dead after the crushing bite.
Logically, this is a game. Nobody likes getting insta-kill one-shotted by smth you couldn't run from nor fight back against
Logically, it should take 60 years or more to grow your Deinosuchus to adulthood
Logically, Deinosuchus wouldn't even be hunting Ceratosaurus
And also, Deinosuchus didn't live with Tyrannosaurus. It lived with the likes of Parasaurolophus and Daspletosaurus (or Albertosaurus, I forget honestly), but not Tyrannosaurus
