I learned to do character art first by using acrylic paint. I was just starting with my gel collection. Acrylic paints are very cheap at Walmart. Then when shifting to gels, I would print small, nail-sized characters all over a sheet of paper. Find a thick, bendable plastic (like clear divider pages for binders) to lay over top, lay a clear layer, then fill in with colors and outline. They’re just like homemade stickers. You can trim them if needed and put top coat on and it looks like you painted them right on the nail!
helloooo! Abt the blooming ink: It is meant to go on a matte top coat and create a similar look to waterpaint. Ive seen a korean creator use them and it looks awesome so I would def not give upp!!!

46:39 I originally bought those French tip stencils bc my hands can get really shakey and I thought there was no way I could ever free hand a French tip. They are so frustrating to put on straight, make sure they're even across each nail, and then when pulling them off, they don't even always leave a super crisp line. I finally tried free handing French tips a few weeks ago, and I actually did really well! Much better than I thought I could do! And then, since then, I've discovered I can add chains or little pearls or whatever right on the smile line to cover up any imperfections. The finished product actually ends up looking really great, and I should have had more faith in myself. ❤ I've watched you free hand plenty of times, and I bet you'll do better without the stencils 😊 48:35 yup, see I was predicting you'd switch to free handing. 😅

I bought some of the makeup from sheglam but I don’t buy the clothes cause I like getting pieces that I can wear for a while. I love to thrift like you for clothing instead or adding more clothing to the dump and contributing to destroying the earth. I would rather thrift. I bought a jumpsuit from tic toc and I regretted getting it after I got the suit. The quality wasn’t bad it’s really soft and comfy but I started to feel guilty for falling for the fast fashion but it its a really cute jumpsuit and I’m planning on wearing it to my next doctors appointment.

I do polygel but I just use it similar to acrylic. Apply tip. Apply gel near cuticle and then work it down. And I typically don’t have to do so much filing

Loved this haullll your haul videos are my favourite, I think for the French tips you just need to practice more, I have to say they really are one of the hardest things to nail down and consistently do well every time❤ also I think you may need to check one of the appliances you are using as there is a buzzing sound in the background, stay safe😕❤️

The blooming liners prolly can be used with or w/o the blooming jel an just a little tip, use them with the windows open, but a couple of them looked like feathers
@@AnneElizabethNails I think the fact that they used "blooming" in the name of the watercolor inks threw you off. 😂 Watercolor inks or tints are made of alcohol and give a blooming effect but they're not supposed to be used with blooming gel. You had it right the first time, you're supposed to use them on a matte surface with a light color underneath or a buffed surface. Sometimes the names SHEIN uses for their products cause confusion just like the little funny descriptions on the packaging.You have to really know your nail stuff.
I’m going to sculpt my nails with builder gel and nail forms tomorrow it will probably take me a few hours but they always look the best. I love how easy and fast gel-x nails are but no matter how much I blend them into my nails I can’t seem to get them to look natural or seamless. I even started using acetone on a brush after blending my cuticle area with files and E file to try and get the cuticle area to look even better but there is always a area around the cuticle that never looks right. I tried using the acetone to blend it 8n but I can’t get it to work. I really want t9 try using acrylic in dual forms. From what I’ve seen them come out looking really good and realistic. I wish I could ge the gel-x nails to look better I’ve tried so many different things and they still don’t look like the nails I see on RUclips or tic toc. I use forms that you use for acrylic but I definitely want to try using acrylic in dual forms. You should try it and do a video on it and maybe you can give us tips or do a detailed video on getting gel-x to look more realistic or to get the cuticle area flush with the cuticles. I’ve bought so many different tips to use but for some reason I just can’t get the technique down
Stickers are so fun!!! Also the crystal charms you got are so magical. Have you been liking the melody suzie dust collector? I’ve been thinking about getting one but I’m scared it will be too loud and drive me crazy haha
This is just a suggestion, maybe fill all nails with poly gel at once then apply them one at a time it save some steps I really dread doing poly gel nails too
I have used most of the brands that you mentioned and by far my favorite brand is Born Pretty. I haven't used all of their products but the ones I have used are top notch of affordable brands. I would say my second favorite is Makartt but not all of their products work as well for me, like the nail glue and the nail glue remover. However, their polygel is fabulous. Beetles is third, but there and things in Beetles brand that I like better than Makartt, like their top coat. Saviland is good too! Those are my top four Amazon products I like.
@@AnneElizabethNails Yes, I would say Born Pretty would be a dupe for some Korean brands from what I have seen on many content creators' videos here on RUclips. I haven't used many Korean brands because my budget doesn't allow me to, but I did splurge recently and get some Crazy Thick top coat and the Jello-Jello peel-off base. I haven't used the peel-off yet because I am letting my nails rest for right now. I will say that I love Born Pretty's top coat. Not too thin, and not too thick of a consistency but It stays shiny and doesn't scratch or dull. like others I have used. I'm still experimenting with the Crazy Thick top coat but I like it so far for encapsilating.

I think you pressed the duel form on too hard. That’s what I used to do but I learned to more place them on the nail not press it down. That’s what the product moved down to the free edge. Love the red on your hair still. It’s perfect with your skin tone ❤❤❤❤

Whats the difference between the sculpting with the gel tips and using the dual forms? Are you leaving the gel tips on when you put them on your nails?
I have those cat sticker and I could not get any of them off. I was devastated. I think it’s just a skill issue tho. I think those wine bottles might’ve just been miniatures for people who make the mini things, but it will still work for nails
I wonder if those “blooming liquids” are actually more like alcohol inks. So put on a matte topcoat like you thought, put down the color, and bloom with alcohol 🤞 hopefully that works

I wonder if with dual forms you could do the same “hack” you can do with the lazy girl method where you cure some onto the nail bed area first so it doesn’t get too thin when it squeezes it. Though you might have to do it as an overlay on the nail instead of the dual form to make sure it cures through but idk if that’d really make a difference.

Nice video tyfs, you could take a cat eye polish in the middle of the frame, put like a 3D gel over the cat eye to make it pop. That might be cute.

Loved this haullll your haul videos are my favourite, I think for the French tips you just need to practice more, I have to say they really are one of the hardest things to nail down and consistently do well every time❤ also I think you may need to check one of the appliances you are using as there is a buzzing sound in the background, stay safe😕❤️

The blooming liners prolly can be used with or w/o the blooming jel an just a little tip, use them with the windows open, but a couple of them looked like feathers

@@AnneElizabethNails I think the fact that they used "blooming" in the name of the watercolor inks threw you off. 😂 Watercolor inks or tints are made of alcohol and give a blooming effect but they're not supposed to be used with blooming gel. You had it right the first time, you're supposed to use them on a matte surface with a light color underneath or a buffed surface. Sometimes the names SHEIN uses for their products cause confusion just like the little funny descriptions on the packaging.You have to really know your nail stuff.

Anne can you use regular nail glue to stick on the little colorful stars? Or do you have to use rhinestone glue?
I’m going to sculpt my nails with builder gel and nail forms tomorrow it will probably take me a few hours but they always look the best. I love how easy and fast gel-x nails are but no matter how much I blend them into my nails I can’t seem to get them to look natural or seamless. I even started using acetone on a brush after blending my cuticle area with files and E file to try and get the cuticle area to look even better but there is always a area around the cuticle that never looks right. I tried using the acetone to blend it 8n but I can’t get it to work. I really want t9 try using acrylic in dual forms. From what I’ve seen them come out looking really good and realistic. I wish I could ge the gel-x nails to look better I’ve tried so many different things and they still don’t look like the nails I see on RUclips or tic toc. I use forms that you use for acrylic but I definitely want to try using acrylic in dual forms. You should try it and do a video on it and maybe you can give us tips or do a detailed video on getting gel-x to look more realistic or to get the cuticle area flush with the cuticles. I’ve bought so many different tips to use but for some reason I just can’t get the technique down
Stickers are so fun!!! Also the crystal charms you got are so magical. Have you been liking the melody suzie dust collector? I’ve been thinking about getting one but I’m scared it will be too loud and drive me crazy haha
This is just a suggestion, maybe fill all nails with poly gel at once then apply them one at a time it save some steps I really dread doing poly gel nails too

I have used most of the brands that you mentioned and by far my favorite brand is Born Pretty. I haven't used all of their products but the ones I have used are top notch of affordable brands. I would say my second favorite is Makartt but not all of their products work as well for me, like the nail glue and the nail glue remover. However, their polygel is fabulous. Beetles is third, but there and things in Beetles brand that I like better than Makartt, like their top coat. Saviland is good too! Those are my top four Amazon products I like.

@@AnneElizabethNails Yes, I would say Born Pretty would be a dupe for some Korean brands from what I have seen on many content creators' videos here on RUclips. I haven't used many Korean brands because my budget doesn't allow me to, but I did splurge recently and get some Crazy Thick top coat and the Jello-Jello peel-off base. I haven't used the peel-off yet because I am letting my nails rest for right now. I will say that I love Born Pretty's top coat. Not too thin, and not too thick of a consistency but It stays shiny and doesn't scratch or dull. like others I have used. I'm still experimenting with the Crazy Thick top coat but I like it so far for encapsilating.

I think you pressed the duel form on too hard. That’s what I used to do but I learned to more place them on the nail not press it down. That’s what the product moved down to the free edge.

I wonder if those “blooming liquids” are actually more like alcohol inks. So put on a matte topcoat like you thought, put down the color, and bloom with alcohol 🤞 hopefully that works

I wonder if with dual forms you could do the same “hack” you can do with the lazy girl method where you cure some onto the nail bed area first so it doesn’t get too thin when it squeezes it. Though you might have to do it as an overlay on the nail instead of the dual form to make sure it cures through but idk if that’d really make a difference.
