Hey thanks for watching the video!
Thanks Jan! Never a dull moment at the dairy! If you're ever felling lonely, just remember at least a couple of cows appreciate a head scratch!👍
God is with Jan He was beside Jan from Birth up until Now and God's still beside Him as the Scripture says HE Will Never leave nor forsake you Amen Jesus is there to Stay beside you Amen.
Do you know that you don't actually need to own a farmland to be able to earn money from Agricultural Investment. Have you heard of Argo investment company, you can invest into their own farmland and they do all the dirty work and you earn profit from that.
The cows in the holding area remind me of being at the airport waiting to check in.
hello how are you ☺️
Never ending small fixes. Thanks for sharing your daily life with us❤️
Well he did share his *”dairy life”* if you know what I’m saying
Thank you Jan , for taking uses on a tour of daily work on the farm.
It’s genuinely impressive how many skills you need to be a modern farmer!
You do a long days work with a smile. Inspires me to keep going when I’m feeling lazy. Thanks for sharing all the fixit jobs. It’s satisfying to watch even if I have no clue what your fixing. Especially because you’re doing it so deftly and its not me with all the frustration I’d have. 😅 stay well. Oh, and to see you scratch a cow with affection made my day. Love the Cheetah.
It is more than 2 years now I have been watching your videos .
I must say your treatment to your herd your work are first class .
Best regards from Morocco. North Africa .
Yhon.
Thank You very much for the videos. The walk alongs with you are great. Yhon, I like the way you think on your feet and fix things that go brake each day, great job. Please Take Care of your self Plus Be Very Care Full around all Farm Equipment.
You are so important to us, thank you for all you do and with such love and respect.
Love your videos! I especially liked that touching "head scratching " moment with Cheater and her mates 🙂🙂
When I drink milk I think about how you are valuable for us .really Appreciate for you good farmer
Thanks friend for another interesting vlog about the agenda on a dairy farm.👍👍
Excellent video Jan! I have enjoyed watching you now for a little over 2 years: you never disappoint! You are one amazing young man with a great future ahead of you. Your parents raised you right. Be safe, take care and keep those videos coming!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your lively hood. I been following you for a bit I really enjoy the videos. Take care and looking forward to the next one.
I am glad you have started explaining some of the mechanics of the milking parlor;.
Yea another awesomely video thanks for always walking us along and explaining everything you do
Thank you Jan I look forward to watching your videos every time there’s one out stay warm and safe us here in Ct our temps are 15 below 0 it’s brutal here just like there
Happy cows are productive and stress-free cows, which shows in their performance... Love how you gave them gals nice head rubs, super cute :)!!!
Jan, If they would put a 90% elbow on top of those vents it would solve your problem with ice chunks dripping down in. If you put a screen on it will become just another thing to have to keep clean the elbow will just redirect air flow.
Hey Yen, I hope all is well and things are healthy. Prayers for you and your family. Enjoy your break they are all needed... Have a great day.....

Lucky you I woke up this morning in Nova Scotia to -20
Good to see ya Jan glad to hear winter isn't pounding you down
Interesting video!!!!
It must be a real shock to the system going from the shed to an outside corral!!!
I enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing.
One thing you could try on the fan is to put a kind of china hat of steel over the fan so you dont get in snow or rain. But you lose some of the capacity of the fan. But that is better than replacing fans since it breaks because off the ice. It works well for our farm here in Norway.
Very interesting. My uncle's farm had about 30 milking cows back in the 1960's in Quebec. So amazed on how milk farms have changed over the decades. Good video and will look at more as they come.

@9:10--Great shot!
I’m of the thinking that there’s always a solution to any problem. Having said that, I definitely think there’s a solution to this ice coming through your fan openings. I can think of several right off the top of my head! However, since I know next to nothing about the dairy industry’s barn set ups, I wouldn’t know for sure about all the intricacies that would have to be taken into account for a workable solution. It may be just a simple solution for a simple problem!!
Great video Jan. Thank you
What a wealth of knowledge all the comments provide. I missed the part in the video where he is asking for tips n tricks i guess.
I am very happy to see the cows of your cow farm. Thanks for sharing your cow farm video. I also have a cow farm. Thank you.
Excellent video Jan !
I as well enjoy your videos, look forward to all your activities, good job
My guy was happy to have 0 degree temperature ! 😂😂😂I mean how cold is Canada ? .. The lowest I have ever experienced at 26 yrs old is around 10 degrees .. Watching from Kenya
That's crazy man! I live in the warmest place in Canada and 10 is average, the coldest I've felt there was -16 nothing compared to our neighbors 😂
@coc and ball torture In Kenya 🇰🇪 it's usually cold around July and August ( lowest maybe 8 degrees Celsius) and maybe April ( during the rainy season) other than that its sunny 🌞... It's in my bucket list to experience below 0 degrees 🥶
Nice to see you getting some manageable weather. Slightly west of you over in millet Alberta. I'm grateful for the warmer weather. Thanks Jan. Stay safe.

I learned a lot on your videos about dairy farming sir jan.😊
Jan, on a video of farm hand mike, titled bedding cattle with corn Stover in the last two minutes of the video is a home made blower to clean their feed bunks of snow. Enjoy your videos.
Love your videos Jan. I was wondering if you have ever been run over by a cow. You need a hard hat for the falling ice. I really admire you for the care you give your animals.Great video and thanks.
You do a good job with your videos. Thanks
Glad you guys are getting some food weather. Damaged parts are no fun thou♥️
The Foot bath will be fixed I'm Sure it will work again as normal Jan's Dad just needs to order some parts again then I'm sure it will work as normal.
Learned a bunch. Thanks.
this is very good to watch, tanks
Hey Jan, great video! I have changed those ADF liners before cuz I work at Norwell Dairy, a dairy supplier. I found that if u soak the liners in hot water before u pull them through, the rubber seals around that little plastic spray nozzle better. Proly nit worth doing that for 1 inflation tho 😆
Do you know that you don't actually need to own a farmland to be able to earn money from Agricultural Investment. Have you heard of Argo investment company, you can invest into their own farmland and they do all the dirty work and you earn profit from that.
I want to also develop my dairy farming like u. Ur work is so hard n u r very hardworking.
You proved an old saying when you were replacing the hose on the pasteurizer tank, there is "no sense to cry over spilled milk". I saw it with my own eyes. 🤔
Luv your videos I am a city person so I am getting educated every time. Have you ever tried putting something like a strong grid or covers over the fans on the roof to stop the ice from falling thru.
Your videos are awesome.
Another incredible video. Most interesting. You look so young but work so hard. Good on you. Hope you keep making videos too. You are good at it.
Good job keep up the good work.
I love farm work thanks for the video
Love your videos awsome operation nice looking animals
Here in the UK we are being encouraged to cut antibiotics use. Dry cow tubes are a good start. Selective dry cow antibiotic use is in fashion
Thank you ...sir...enjoyed your vid.🚜👨🌾🌠🌠😎
thanks for sharing.. love to work there
Another great video. Your videos haven’t shown up on my feed for a while. May just be the timing of when I’m on RUclips.
Cleanest dairy operation I've ever seen
First time I ever watched your video and I really enjoyed it what a beautiful place you have I bet you're proud of it you should be! I watched two other dairy Farmers and you're a lot alike and a lot different really enjoy watching the cows being milked and how you take care of them you have a very clean place and your cows are also very clean I have a question though can I ask how old you are? If you don't mind you seem very knowledgeable for your age by the way that's a compliment! God bless you and your family for everything you do....
I work on a lot of farms in Canada but never a dairy farm I would love to give that a try

At 4:51 I hear a train horn and with the cold temperatures you can hear the horn from the distance and when it is warm you can`t hear it as much.
Oh yes, I think our Jan is doing his well-deserved farmer hibernation.😇😇😇

Good job guys.
In Nova Scotia it is -20 we have 230 dairy cow and are parlour Froze up at 4:00 in the morning I have a RUclips channel called Marty Swinkels.
Keep going, I enjoyed your vedios, My greetings from Libya.
You gotta take us along on a trip to the city. I think that will be cool I know for one I would enjoy that. I would never see your city otherwise. Think about it
This is when I feel bad for the cows being sent out in the snow and cold. Thinking I wouldn’t make a dairy farmer in Saskatchewan. Too soft hearted
Have you tried churning ice cream or butter from the milk? Always glad to see a new vid. Reminds me of being 10 years old.
Спасибо Ян! Очень классная ферма!
Do you know that you don't actually need to own a farmland to be able to earn money from Agricultural Investment. Have you heard of Argo investment company, you can invest into their own farmland and they do all the dirty work and you earn profit from that.
To make doing sand on the stalls go faster I would definitely look into getting a sand slinger
turn the fans off when the ice is going to fall. open the doors some if its too warm.
Can you put a thin screen over the chimneys to keep the ice from bracking the fans
No sense in crying over spilled Milk 🥛 😂!! I have spent a total of 5 days watching every single video and I have came to the conclusion that I am Obsessed!! The ventilation, garage doors and the Juno are testing you big time!! Now I am starting on your Sisters channel! We need a Q&A and also one with the Parents. Your Dads sense of humor makes me belly laugh!!
Great video as usual 👌
Love this channel
The motor of the fan at 16:00 looks like Toothless the dragon :)
How about try putting a 90 degree elbow on top of your vent and ice won’t fall through the fan blades. 😎
Great video!
Wow super i like this work
Man, that is a lot of beading. Thank you for sharing. Good luck w/ severely cold temps. Do your ladies have a body brush?
Is it possible to put some sort of screen/metal cage over the top of the fan to prevent the chunks of ice from falling all the way down to the fan itself?
When I saw your video I said "Yeeayyyy!" Lol!!! I don't know good to have warm weather or not but so glad you get things done as always and get to see happy ladies is awesome!!!!! :))
BOT BOT BOT BOT BOT
I am going to start a education in dairy farming. Its going to take 3 years, during the education i get a possibility to go get a 3 month internship in Canada. I'd like (when im older) to buy a farm in Canada or atleast get a job there. Great video
I really like your videos and your work with the animals. The cows are always clean and seem to thrive and feel so good, even though they are always inside 😉 But I have two questions ... Why do you give antibiotics prophylactically, does it not help increase the resistance of the bacteria? Is it not a risk that the cows you dry of freeze their teats when they go out in minus degrees after being inside for so long?
Great video sucks that fan had to break but it happens
Keep going, I really enjoy your videos! Greetings from Germany!
Leuke video Jan!
Interesting video! 😊
I enjoy the videos.Wouldn't it help to put a T or an elbow on top of the fan vent so the ice could fall off but not down into the fan. Kinda expensive to fix fans.
Great Keep it up
Could a metal grill be installed in the chimneys to prevent the ice from falling through and wrecking the blades and motors?
I was brainstorming the same idea. There has to be a preventative fix. I’m surprised birds don’t get in there too.
I always enjoyed watching you having to pull a calf to save a calf's life if you can please show us more if that please I am sure that I not the only one that enjoyed watching that . 🤓🤓🤓🤓
Amazing
15:59 "Fix me man!" xD
it's amazing
Really enjoy the drone shots.
Thanks,Sir
Is the roof slope shallow enough to walk up to pull the ice off the fan exhausts or is it to slippery to walk up and down?
it is always good to get a perspective of what goes on with farms that supply the country both you and your sister give insight on the running of a farm and what needs to be looked after around the farm and also making the cows as comfortable as possible. Just out of curiosity I see the feeding system and with the sand beds do they have a similar system for delivering sand to the beds, may be easier to access sand to more beds then a bucket on a skid steer.
I enjoy both channels being very informative.
There is a option called a sand slinger but its probably personal preference to use a bucket
I know yr used to the cold weather but freezing is still freezing so what do you wear to get your feel warm?
You all get some severe cold weather there, it’s been cold here the past two weeks in the US but nothing like the cold you all experience. I have learned allot from you about how you measure temperatures there compared to us here. Like 32 is freezing for us and 32 degrees is above freezing for you. I think that is how I understood it correct me if I am wrong.
hello sir I'm from India i wanna give me dariy farming job i have done ✅ bsc agriculture graduate
@James Brown, Jan is in Canada, so he uses the Celsius scale for temperature. So, 0⁰ is freezing point (of water), compared to the Fahrenheit scale of 32⁰. Hope that helps. 🤷🏼♂️
@@lylecoglianese1645 where are you from
