You've mentioned using a dry sponge on the concealer before and I've tried it. You are right that it really smooths the finish. Sometimes it is too drying looking for me, but when I need a nice smooth undereye, it's a good tip!
I love you’re honest and relaxed reviews. I know sometimes you struggle with dry skin, so could you please update us later on how the foundation works on very dry areas/patches?
I didn’t end up wearing it for the entire day so it’s hard to say :/ but it looked great for the hours that I had it on! It didn’t settle into any dry patches
i loveeee rudi’s nail designs and those look soooo pretty on you!!! i LOVE your FRAN COSTUME!!! the tower 28 mascara is my favorite and they LITERALLY JUST released a BROWN MASCARA!!! 💖💖💖
I love your honesty and how you explain why the product doesn’t work for you but who it might work for. Each time I watch you, I want the nails you have! I know you list them in your list of what you have on, but could you link them also? I try to find them but I don’t have much luck.
I'm going to have to try that, I have combo/dry skin with some (acne scaring) texture. I usually apply the foundation on a pallete, dip my brush and then tap it on the back of my hand, stiple onto my skin and then VERY gently go over with a damp sponge to make sure there are no brush marks.
i can’t believe you’re only reviewing the what the foundation now 😂 i thought you already did tbh. i do like that you don’t let hype about makeup get to you quite as much as other creators. edit: it’s good that you keep those little plastic lids/separators in products because they’re intended to be kept in!
Love how this look turned out! Would love to hear an update on the mascara once you’ve tried it out more. On principal I don’t own/use multiple mascaras at one time, but Tower28 might be the next mascara I buy when I need a new one. The blush looked lovely too.
I just write dates on them so I know when to throw them out but I try to limit it to 3 open at a time(1 black, 1 brown and 1 waterproof) seeing as I'm fair skinned with light blonde hair- I need brown most the time, black for certain looks/night time and waterproof for the summer humidity/highly active days.
I’m so glad you mentioned the elf lash n roll with the tower 28!!! I’ve been wondering for so long how similar they are since the wands look super similar. please share if you think the elf is just as good or not!
Random- but you sharing about struggling with dry patches & having acne prone skin is always encouraging to me! I struggle with the same issues & it’s helpful to know I’m not alone in that. Thanks Kelly!🩷
I got sucked into that fenty highlighter when it was half off a short while back at ulta. Omg i had no clue it was soooo glittery. I was so disappointed since it was so hyped up. I should have returned it.
I'm the same as you in regards to mascara preference. I want separation and length more than anything now days. I think your results convinced me to try the Tower28 mascara during the sephora sale. Your lashes look amazing with it! Also, I would LOVE if you did a video on your favorite makeup brushes/tools, if you don't have one already. I've been a viewer of yours for a year or two but didn't remember a video on that. If you have an older one maybe an updated one with current favorite brushes/tools?
Kelly I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Tower 28 mascara after about a month! My first reaction was the same, so pretty and separating…That being said, I’ve had mine for about a month now and it’s gotten so clumpy in the tube😢When I take the wand out, I’ve got to scrape the end off just to get a descent application..Not sure if I got a default tube or what..Let us know how yours does..Thank you❤
I’m thinking I would LOVE that foundation lol. I’m 59 with normal to dry skin and I like a dewy luminous look- I think your skin looks gorgeous heeheehee. Thanks for the fun beautiful you! And hope your Halloween bash is a blast☺️ Xo 🇨🇦
I’ve always used my fingers for foundation application with no problem. I can’t understand using a damp sponge over sunscreen bc I can’t believe it doesn’t disturb the sunscreen film😘
I haven't seen anyone use that Jones Road foundation where it turned out to look good. The entire line just looks greasy and not appealing. It looks wearable on you, but the foundation just isn't flattering on anyone, every time I see it it looks like sweat, not glowy and healthy.
I think it only looks okay on mature skin or VERY dry skin, from what I've seen. That being said, I think you are right that it doesn't really look GOOD on anyone.
When it comes to concealer, and foundation shades…..I don’t know why makeup brands don’t just open up and be transparent about the fact that it costs a lot to produce more shades, and to get the packaging? When Makeup By Mario dropped their new I think it was concealer, a lot of people were upset because the shade range wasn’t that good and coming from an MUA like him, that’s embarrassing. It turns out, he couldn’t make more shades because it would’ve costed more. Understandable that some ingredients for makeup products might be harder to source and use, which makes them more pricey…..but I don’t that they’re so pricey that some of these more high end brands that definitely have the money, couldn’t just spend the money to create more shades.
A lot of people just want to be a victim 🤷🏼♀️ kind of a common theme in our society. It makes more sense for brands to specialize in certain skin tones & leave it at that (e.g. Juvia’s place for darker skin tones, physician formula for lighter).
@@elegerard unfortunately it isn’t….most people automatically assume that the reason is racism because most brands tend to cater to the lighter, more white side of the market with either very few or no dark shades because back then (1900’s) the makeup industry was pretty racist towards anyone who was a POC. So going into present day, when a brand new or old comes out with foundation or concealers but the shade ranges are horrible…..most people assume that it’s racism towards minorities.
The reason people were upset was because of the fact that we’re such small differences in the medium category but the deep one had such big jumps. He could have focused more on keeping the jumps more consistent but he didn’t..
Seems to me that if they can't afford to cater to a wide range of skin tones (because regardless of our skin tones, all of our money is equally green), they should either not come out with complexion products AT ALL until it's financially feasible for them to be inclusive, or to do much lighter coverage products so that exact matches aren't a hard requirement. To do otherwise, makes it abundantly clear who they view as desirable.
I love a dry sponge for concealer! Especially with the elf flawless brightening concealer. Also had anybody experienced Sephora not give out perfume samples in store anymore? Is this nationwide or just a NY thing?
I love the Jones Road WTFoundation. I am 46 with oily rosacea prone and acne prone skin.. I apply it very very sparingly and blend the heck out of it. I like a natural barely dewy coverage sometimes so I love this for my days where I don't want to wear much makeup. Yes I keep the plastic inner cover too! It really needs it.
Wow, really? I've never see it look good on anyone that didn't have very dry or mature skin. I'd love to see a review! I was wondering if people were just using too much.
The lipstick lesbians did a short on why you should use the extra cover for products. It's because the formula needs extra protection from air to keep it stable.
I'm so excited for the T28 brown mascara! Havent tried the og, so i hope its good. Also, I love your hair like this. Im a sucker for a good headband & you pull it off effortlessly
i just tried the tower 28 blush in magic hour for the first time after eyeing it forever and i actually think this is my favorite cream blush of all time, and i've been obsessed with the rare soft pinch for a good year and a half now.
I prefer a dewy foundation, because matte ones always make me feel like they're sucking every drop of moisture out of my skin. But that one made you look like a disco ball! And so many people have talked about how it separates, which just makes me squeamish, and also makes me worry about break outs! Your skin looked really nice by the end with powder, but that just feels like too much work to me. Really liked that highlighter on your lids especially though!
I'm so curious about Jones Road foundation and the dusty rose bronzer. It is basically an obsession! It's geared towards mature skin ( me) I'm trying to find a good coverage that isn't too much. Just when I get a routine down, my skin needs change. 😑
Love your nails. Perfect for fall. I’m shaky handed so I don’t usually wear dark colours but after watching this, having been on the fence, I bit the bullet and ordered some deeper shades. Wish me luck 🤞🏾
The shade range of the foundation is horrendous, the lightest shade is 3 shades darker than me. They could’ve of just done a white like Haus labs if they didn’t feel like making shades or they didn’t have the money because white base based on the shade is probably what they use so they wouldn’t have to use the money for the other pigments and then it wouldn’t have been an afterthought or rather not a thought at all. Also we as consumers should not have to mix the oils in. I feel like it’s unstable and not shelf ready.
I never ever would have tried Watabrat color, but I always take my granddaughters to ulta and Sephora with me and one tried it on and came and showed me…OMG❤️❤️❤️ I get tons of compliments everyday…because I can’t stand not to wear it everyday… I have 4 of them…I’m afraid they will quit making it😂😂😂
Months ago i got a sample of the what the foundation from creedo to try, and I'm so glad I did. The smell!!!!!! The botanics are over the top. Hated it.
I tried the Elf Halo Glow Beauty Blush Wand in Candelit and plus a good thing is that it does make the complexion products look so natural on the skin with the Covergirl Outlast Extreme Wear Full Coverage Foundation and I got say it did work pretty on top of that foundation. I wouldn't use the Elf Halo Glow Beauty Blush Wand with the Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter but using that with the Covergirl foundation makes it last longer.
OK, now I need to try out the Tower 28 mascara! Love the Ulta Nude eye primer- been through at least 6 tubes and have 2 in backup right now- it's an unsung hero product.
Would love to see you review the mdsolarsciences spf tinted lip balms, I have one in the color Spice and love it. Curious what your review would be. My friends and I love your channel.
I hate that I love the Tower 28-I put on a coat of L’Oréal air volume after and it’s 🔥. Totally agree with new mascaras not being great. They need a week or 2
So my first tube of the Tower 28 mascara was fantastic. My second one was immediately dried out.... flaky as hell. Idk what happened. :( So be cautious falling too much in love with that mascara. I have heard this happen to others too.
No can do. Can't stand mascara flakes, I'm using Lash Princess right now. Some say that one flakes on them. But it doesn't seem to on me, It's hard to remove though.
The Meredith foundation application was just ridiculous!! She slapped it on like facewash, used way too much product, soaked most of it off again by 'blend, blend, blend' and dabbing the sponge all over it...the makers must have loved it and their sales must have skyrocketed... so much waste of product and money!!!!
Hey Kelly, I kind of have a shade match question for the Natasha denona concealer. I'm ever so slightly darker than you but my skin is still in the light or light medium category, I'm not fair.. however would you recommend I purchase N4 or N5, my preference with concealer is to have it be pretty much the same shade maybe a teensy lighter than my skin tone but I'd use it to spot conceal.
Cats laying on things that are on things, especially the floor, is a cat thing. Tilly is not unique in this. XD Why do they have this urge? Who knows, but many a cat does have it.
I can't with that foundation...it looks super heavy and too glowy and greasy and it enhances texture😕...that tower 28 mascara made your lashes look bombing...it lifted and fluffed up your lashes perfectly...I wish they would come out with a waterproof version.

I’m getting ready for a job interview this morning and this is the perfect video to watch as I get ready! 💜
Good luck on your interview!!!
Thank you!!
i loveeee rudi’s nail designs and those look soooo pretty on you!!! i LOVE your FRAN COSTUME!!! the tower 28 mascara is my favorite and they LITERALLY JUST released a BROWN MASCARA!!! 💖💖💖

Yes! I’m currently wearing the “Chocolate Glaze Press-ons” from Quickies x Rudi
@@KellyGoochthank you so much! You are a doll
I use a dry sponge everyday to apply makeup. It absolutely gives me a smoother look and I have textured skin.

The elf option is a bit less dramatic but they’re definitely similar!
Random- but you sharing about struggling with dry patches & having acne prone skin is always encouraging to me! I struggle with the same issues & it’s helpful to know I’m not alone in that. Thanks Kelly!🩷
Love your commitment to cruelty free products! 🇭🇲👏
I got sucked into that fenty highlighter when it was half off a short while back at ulta. Omg i had no clue it was soooo glittery. I was so disappointed since it was so hyped up. I should have returned it.
I wanted it so bad until I had it lol it’s soooooo glittery

My cats lays on anything I put on the floor too, especially any paper or cloth items. Great video!

I’ve had mine for several months and absolutely no issue. It’s drying out now but that’s normal. My favorite mascara along with the Hourglass Caution.

I was going to use the fenty highlighter like a blush too but it was way too much glitter so I just use it as nose highlight and it’s SO cute for that
I love the tower 28 blushes so much. The tower 28 mascara smudged on me.
I love a dry sponge for concealer! Especially with the elf flawless brightening concealer. Also had anybody experienced Sephora not give out perfume samples in store anymore? Is this nationwide or just a NY thing?
I think this was a great look. And I don't think the Fenty pink all over is too much. You applied it in a subtle manner that it all works!

Love your halloween costume ideas

Girl, I know how tempting it is to try viral makeup products. But I tend to go for my own preferences especially when I go makeup shopping.. 👍
Tower 28 mascara is a HG and I hate mascara. It doesn’t flake, smudge, or feel crunchy. Love it.
It looks fabulous on you and i love these vibey videos with you

The wattabrat is SO pretty. Not a good color for me but I put it on my girls for a fun dress up color.
Fran Fine - such a great idea!!!!
I love how the Tower 28 mascara looks on my lashes, but like all non-tubing mascaras on me, it gives me raccoon eyes. :(
Yep me too! I also am obssessed with tubing mascaras. Loreal, elf, Caliray…
Guirl, I still have to try the Tower 28 mascara :) you are not the last one !!!
Oh no!! I wonder why that is!
I had that issue with the CaliRay mascara; the mini tube is perfect and the full sized tube is dry and chunky. I’m so sad bc I love it when it works!
It’s my new favorite mascara 😝
I hope you like the Jones Road in the winter… I think Bobbi Brown Facebase with tint :-)
Girl, I think I’m the last person to try the Tower 28 mascara. 💛🌻
Me too! I want to try it but I have 2 mascaras I like at the moment
I love the mascara, it's my absolute favorite! The WTFoundation is too heavy for me, even though i have dry skin.
Kelly, T28 just launched their mascara in brown!
Tower 28 is bringing in a brown ❤
The Meredith foundation application was just ridiculous!! She slapped it on like facewash, used way too much product, soaked most of it off again by 'blend, blend, blend' and dabbing the sponge all over it...the makers must have loved it and their sales must have skyrocketed... so much waste of product and money!!!!
What mirror do you use?? ❤
It’s from Kokie!
The worst thing about the foundation is that it separates in the jar and have to remix before using. I wouldn’t waste money on it.
Jones road stuff is for old people, not younglings like you. Pinks are more for teenagers. You are always lovely.
I’m always wanted to try to Jones Road foundation but I don’t know where to buy it 🤷🏻♀️
They sell it on their website or they have a couple of stores :)
I can't with that foundation...it looks super heavy and too glowy and greasy and it enhances texture😕...that tower 28 mascara made your lashes look bombing...it lifted and fluffed up your lashes perfectly...I wish they would come out with a waterproof version.
❤❤❤
It’s the foundation. It’s too glowy. Too “Tin Man” looking. I love the Tower 28 mascara. It’s my current fav!!
I got the Tower 28 mascara right after it came out, it was soo dry and flakey, and it'd smudge in just a couple of hours, I thought I'd gotten a bad batch and bought it again 🤦🏻♀️ exactly the same! to the trash they went 🙅♀️... sorry but I just don't get the hype 🤔
I tried the Tower 28 mascara and didn't like it at all. Gave it away.
didn't like it either, straight to the trash it went
I think the WTF is meant for mature skin and that’s why it’s a bit too much for the younger crowd
Foundation is very scented so irritated my sensitive skin and felt too greasy
It’s very hit or miss with every product
That foundation is a no for me
The foundation looks greasy on camera
Yikes...you just look sweaty.
That foundation looks like you're sweating... lmao sorry but not for me at all, I have oily skin and this is my nightmare
when did people start saying "over top of" instead of "on top of"? I feel like I've heard it on beauty youtube lately and nowhere in the real world lol. Is this a regional thing?
Not all of us with mature skin have dry skin. My skin is very oily. Not gonna touch that foundation!
The tower 28 mascara always smudges on me
Oh no!
My cat is the same way! It can be something as little as a tag or a receipt, and he will lay on it. 😂
