These cats are wild and not domesticated and not to be kept among regular consumers but only those who are participating in the wild captivity program to increase their population as these are increasingly in decline of its population. Naturally in the wild, they live in high altitude in rocky hills and their fur is this color to blend into the surrounding rocks as they have many predators such as hawks, foxes, wild dogs and of course wolves. Their natural defenses are to avoid encountering these wild predators. They mainly hunt rodents but sometimes small birds depending on where they live. A mother Manul cat hunts up to 25 medium size rodent to feed their kittens in the wild and they serve a great purpose to keep the rodent population in check. Kittens can be born at a time a few to several (4-5) even. They are originally from Central Asia. But these kittens are born in captivity.
