I watched your video with Elizabeth McMann recently. Since then I’ve decided to put a lot of effort into my flex style classes. I already have one on outschool, and am making a second one. I joined udemy this week. Just waiting for my first course to go through the review process. I’m hopeful for this new endeavour. I’m all about diversifying this year.
That's awesome! What are you teaching? Udemy was kind of tricky for me to figure out (hence a video in the works for next week!), but once I got the basics (like the 30 minute min for video content), it went quickly!
Thank you for your video. I appreciate. I was on Outschool for 3 yrs and referred over 250 teachers. But I never got payment for it. I had create a huge group on FB and all 250 let me know they were teaching so I was not sure why I wasn't getting the referral fee. I had put a ton of time into referrals. So I started messages and asking. One rep admitted I was owed the fees and confirmed, but another said they had not info on my referrals. They never gave me the referral fees. So I do think many are sketchy on referrals.
First off, I'm so sorry. Second... did you mean Allschool? I got paid for nearly all of my referrals but near the end of my time with them the referral program "ended" and I never got paid for the final 4 people I'd referred. Are you still teaching online?
Have you worked in outschool? I was working with Allschool but I am disappointed with enrollments. I just got hired in outschool and I hope I find success.
I applied to teach on Allschool more than a month ago, but never heard back from them. The application just says "under review" and after reaching out through the chat a bunch of times, there was never a reply. Sounds like they are not hiring new teachers.
Hi Oxana! This is my website: bit.ly/3qElCsb However, I don't use it for my private students. I've been able to fill my private classes with referrals and from WeChat contacts. This might inspire you to begin scaling, though. Can I help with any questions there?
The question is; is it a viable income source/job? I am not concerned about referrals or customer service being late in their replies, I was just hired and need to know if it’s a good use of my time, thanks
My answer right now would be no. If you're in the US, UK, or AUS, consider Outschool or going independent. Also, flex classes (I have a video on this) are another option!
I recently stepped away from Allschool a few months ago. Did you unlist your content? I'm trying to decide whether to or leave it there if I want to start again?
I haven't unlisted it, but it's a good thought! When you say "start again" do you mean pick back up on Allschool or go private? If you have any questions about going private, let me know!
@@thinkcuriolearning I meant if I returned to Allschool but I really don't think that'll happen. I am on Outschool and just applied to Teach the Truth yesterday!! I have taught privately but only in-person. Online has always been Outschool, then I started on Allschool and met so many wonderful students at first and then things went downhill in the last year so I stepped away.
@@sharongustin3562 Yes! Both. I currently teach online 2-3 hours a day, M-Sa. I've chosen to diversify as well, so that teaching is divided up into a few different "buckets" two of which are private: 1:1s and small groups. I love helping people get started with that! (Details about that are over on melissaisteaching.com, where you can also pick up a free teacher biz scaling workbook to branch out!) Feel free to email if that's easier: melissaisteaching@gmail.com or @melissaisteaching on FB and IG. 🤍
Not yet, in case families want to get in touch I'm leaving the door open for a bit. I didn't store any curriculum in there, so that's not a worry for me. If I find out an easy way to do it, I'll let you know!

Thank you for sharing your experience with Allschool. I am excited for both of us on what is next in our journeys!
Same! 👏👏👏

Not as an independent teacher, but I'm so glad you're getting started there! Maybe consider teaching flex classes on Outschool?!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. Yeah, it's sad, and I wish there were more communication from their end!
Do you have a website for you private class offerings? If so, might you be able to share it?

Have you deleted your account with all school? I tried to do that not long ago and couldn't figure out how...

Hi Cyndi. We're you teaching with Allschool? What are your plans for teaching now?
