I love love love this post. I know it’s old but I had never seen it. It popped up on my recommended videos. The was Todd talks about Rachel warms my heart. You are a beautiful and very blessed family. Lots of love to you both.
Thank you for sharing you have the amazing family. Rachel your husband truly loves you 💗 . Its so great to hear a man talk about his wife with so much joy 😊. Beautiful life
Omg, Todd you're adorable! Just love your garden updates and ramblings! You guys are the cutest couple! I'm working on trying to be more like Rachel everyday. She's so smart, sensible, practical, and easy-going. She's a true blessing! The wedding photo compilation was beautiful! Thank you, Todd! Rachel is so blessed with such a handsome, respectful, easy-going, hardworking man! Enjoy your weekend guys! Love you tons! ☀️🏆💗
We got a small piece of sheet metal maybe 2x3 ft and we put it up against the edge of the wood chips my husband burns the weeds on one side and then we move it down and so forth. The metal never got too hot for just my garden gloves.
HAH love your story. We got hitched in Lake Tahoe. 1st we got stuck in the hotel elevator and almost missed our own wedding. 2nd the directions to our outdoor wedding were really vague and we got lost. 3rd we had to jump a guard rail to walk back to a clearing that overlook Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe. It was breathtaking. We are 29 yrs in now and laugh about it all!
Love your stories Todd. You are an old soul. Love the story of the sand fleas. I lived in Florida and I can relate. Thanks for the pictures y'all are such a gorgeous family. Rachel was gleaning on your wedding day! The children sure have grown. So happy the baby Pines are doing so well. I agree, I'd want more too!
Hello Todd, Rachael is Gorgeous and you both a beautiful couple. I pray your luck isn’t luck, but that is just the right two people came together and work hard to always stay in love. My best wishes to you both.😉💗
I have started using Growers solution weed fabric as a border around my beds. You can mow right up to it and water and air pass through. Only tip is to put the staples at the edge to keep the mower from grabbing the fabric. I don't put mulch on the fabric to keep weed seeds from sprouting on top of fabric. Living Traditions homestead uses it because they have high weed pressure in Missouri. Oh, also, don't cut the fabric, use a torch so that it doesn't unravel😉
I just love blueberries, so I planted 2 twigs(2 future blueberry bushes). At first, they were sad looking, and I think I planted them in too shady of an area becuz they weren't changing, producing leaves, or growing like I thought. So I moved them to a sunnier location, along with my 2 raspberry (twigs) bushes, and they're growing much better and getting some little leaves, too. So glad they didn't die.
Dig a ditch around the perimeter of your gardens, strainght down No grass will grow into garden and can mow over edge Ive done that to all my flower and strawberry gardens, works great no more weeding Spouce says tighten up your linkage on you boat Hope this helps
Without using harsh chemicals, I go around the border of my porches, and a rock garden by spraying a solution of white vinegar, Epsom salts, and Dawn (blue) Dish Detergent, spray early on a sunny day and by mid afternoon all the grass and weeds are browned and dying. I do this a couple times a year to keep new weeds from coming back, also between the gaps between the step stones in front of house, along edges of driveway. It only kills what you spray and nothing surrounding the area.
Enjoyed the video, I can relate to how fast time goes by, this summer it will 42 years for us and I don’t feel that old! But congratulations to you both I’m glad you found each other!❤️
Hi Todd. It is so good of you to share your wedding photos with us. You are so sweet. God Bless you and Rachel. I hope she is having fun with the girls. See you next time. Take care. Maria.💁🖐️💁🖐️👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Beautiful couple and wedding! Thanks for sharing the pictures. I guess you can laugh about the sand fleas now, but that must have been awful at the time. I love that you are partners on the homestead, both of you work your tails off making your dreams work!
I enjoy your stories! Nice to spend time in the yard with you, too hot in my yard today! Temperature gage said 101 when I went out, not sure what the heat index was. Im glad you old friends to laugh with Rachel! Makes life such fun!
You’re going to have a bumper crop of blueberries this year, I’m so jealous that you have both blueberries and mulberries growing in your garden. Love your wedding photographs and you both looked amazing. Not only are you a lucky man to have Rachel as your wife, Rachel is a lucky woman too to have you as her husband and life partner. Many more happy, healthy years together.
AVON Skin So Soft is used to keep the sand fleas from biting. I’m a native Floridian. CVS pharmacy sells it in their stores. They don’t bite when the sun is bright but in early mornings and late afternoons, they can be horrible near the beach.
Spinning a good tale always makes the work go faster! Thanks for sharing the pictures too, what a beautiful and memorable day! Can't wait to see the blueberries!
Awww yay!! Thank you! I asked you both for this a week or two ago and I was so excited to see the title this morning!! You two are an inspiration ✨ I thoroughly enjoy soaking up all the knowledge and info you both give!! Thank you!
I ordered my husband a set of O-light's last night, they wouldn't let me use your code because it was a flash sale item, but I hope you got credit for me trying to use it.
Just found your channel. You two are adorable and your channel is so calming to watch - you have a calming vibe and come across very genuine. Great videos and hope you have a wonderful garden harvest this year. Blessings!
Great video!! You and Rachel are a beautiful couple. And, those kids are darling. All grown up now. Empty nesters until grandkids start showing up!! ♥️❣️🙏🏼❣️♥️
Surround the mulch with native perennials for the pollinators. Some choices are common milk weed, straight species echinacae, rudbeckia, short goldenrod, asters, monarda. Now you can forget about using the sickle.
Hey Guys watching again as it came up- Todd I would be putting a border around that bed- I honestly don't know the last time I weeded my garden, but that looks like too much hard work.
Wait! You guys got married in '09? I thought you had the 5 children together!! So how many did each of you bring into the relationship?? And how do they range in age? I know I haven't been a subscriber for that long but this is a surprise to me.... I thought you've been together forever, lol. I hope you don't mind me asking but now I'm so curious.
Unless I'm mistaken they don't have any children together and they have 5 children together. This means they both consider all 5 kids their own, just as I considered my husband's daughters my own. 😊
how is it so unheard of to you that people can have kids and THEN marry haha. they didnt do that BUT idk how its so shocking and seemingly impossible to fathom
Loved seeing your wedding pictures! Thank you for reviewing the olight, I had seen these on another you tubers channel and looked at their website but they are fairly expensive and while I like the recharge feature I wasn't sure what would happen in a power outage situation, with your review and discount code I might try one and see if I like them. :)
I use an all natural weed killer around all my beds, it only kills the weeds it touches. It basically dehyrates the plant. I even spray in my flower beds on weeds that come up through my mulch. It won’t harm the soil if you want to plant in the area you’ve previously sprayed. Mix one gallon cheap white vinegar, 1/2 a container of cheap regular salt and 1/4 cup of cheap dish soap. Mix in a sprayer and spray the weeds early in the morning so the sun works to dehyrate the plant. Make sure you spray all the leaves. You may need more than one application to kill tough weeds. I found the recipe on the youtube channel Acre Homestead.
Do a border similar to what you did around the garden. You can plant flowers, herbs, bulbs... You may continue my list. The possibilities are endless! Peace on your doorstep!
Enjoyed your "beginning" stories and photos! Helpful hint for your blueberry beds; make a rock or brick border. I helps with weed eating if you make it to where it slants inward, rather that vertical. Good luck!
Love stories beautiful wedding, and as for your pine trees try some pine needle tea full of C in all kinds of goodness... Thanks so much for sharing God bless you both and your family...
Damn, time stood still for ya'll. You both dont look a day older then when you got married. Love your stories. I also thought it was a really nice, and thoughtful thing you did by leaving a few milkweeds around for the Monarchs. 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Hi I love blueberries and get them from a local farm. But a Mulberry volunteered in my yard and I got a good haul today in between the wind and rain. Past years they were covered in spider mites so I've used Neem on the trunk for the past 2 years and today they were perfect. What do you guys make with mulberries?
I made a mulberry/strawberry crisp that was amazing last week; I did add two apples just to have enough fruit. You could add any other fruit combinations, I bet mulberry/peach would be delicious. They're not that flavorful on their own. The crisp topping is 1 cup flour, 1 cup oats, scant cup sugar, 1 stick butter (soft or melted). Pie or jam would be a great idea too.
Beautiful wedding photos! Love the clean shaven face; the beard…not so much!!!! What a handsome guy! Rachel is still as amazing now as she was in 2009!

Oh Todd. You and your flash lights lol beautiful photos of your wedding. The trees are looking really good. Hopefully they continue to thrive
Bought an Olight the last sale on your recommendation. Very happy so far with performance and quality.
We got a small piece of sheet metal maybe 2x3 ft and we put it up against the edge of the wood chips my husband burns the weeds on one side and then we move it down and so forth. The metal never got too hot for just my garden gloves.

That's what we have, love it. Although I think we need bigger holes, it's hard to plant into ours.
After a long day this is the type of content i need to relax!

Love the wedding pics and story!! Very attractive family but I’m a fan of clean shaven … very handsome
You two are so adorable! Congratulations on your love for one another!
I ordered my husband a set of O-light's last night, they wouldn't let me use your code because it was a flash sale item, but I hope you got credit for me trying to use it.
Maybe you can find a local source for used bricks? I really like them as a bed trim, and I find it doesn’t really get in the way of mowing too much.
Just found your channel. You two are adorable and your channel is so calming to watch - you have a calming vibe and come across very genuine. Great videos and hope you have a wonderful garden harvest this year. Blessings!
Beautiful wedding minus the sand fleas! Love your stories. Thanks for sharing.
Great video!! You and Rachel are a beautiful couple. And, those kids are darling. All grown up now. Empty nesters until grandkids start showing up!! ♥️❣️🙏🏼❣️♥️
You can get a pair of cut proof gloves to use with that knife to protect yourself. For the weed problem, I woud use a woven weed barrier cloth.
Surround the mulch with native perennials for the pollinators. Some choices are common milk weed, straight species echinacae, rudbeckia, short goldenrod, asters, monarda. Now you can forget about using the sickle.
Thank you for sharing the lovely pictures and stories!
Great story, thank you Todd!
Hope you had a fab time with the girls Rachel 🥰
Bricks are great. You can bring your lawnmower over the brick and have a nice edge
We got a shout out!! I love our girl time!!! Thanks Todd!!🥰

They could have kids and not being married , maybe they married after 🤷♀️
Unless I'm mistaken they don't have any children together and they have 5 children together. This means they both consider all 5 kids their own, just as I considered my husband's daughters my own. 😊
We are a blended family. Her kids and His kids - became OUR kids ♥

Maybe a brick border. You could weed eat against it. Or a concrete box border s you can plant hearts or flowers in the holes. 👩🌾💛
you are both very lucky to have each other.
Really enjoyed your video ,the wedding was so beautiful !!
Todd did a great job with the video
Thx Willie!
You welcome Todd and Rachel

Yes I am!
I love your story. My husband and I were married on the beach in Half Moon Bay, dressed to the hilt but barefooted.
Delightful video❣️
We do have bad sand fleas, but Pensacola Florida is a beautiful place to live.
I’d like to hear the story of how you met and fell in love. You are a beautiful, sweet couple.
Awww too cute! ❤️ Kristy in Missouri 😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love that weeding tool! Thanks for sharing photos! Todd! You have a pretty face so why do you cover it up! Lol You two make an adorable couple.
my wife and I married in June of 2009 as well.
I enjoy your stories!
Glad you like them! ♥
Beautiful ❣
You can try vinegar, that what I use on my driveway weeds.
I live in Alabama & we have a lot of family in Florida around Fort Walton & Destin. Anyway, we call the sand flea's "No See 'ems" & they're horrible!!
Perfect. Love y'all!
Beautiful wedding photos! Love the clean shaven face; the beard…not so much!!!! What a handsome guy! Rachel is still as amazing now as she was in 2009!
