There are people in the comment section saying that Ryu is boring. You can't help them all can you? Looks like they want to see Ryu burn out and go for supers all day. They want him to skip neutral and spam something to make them feel good. Footsies and fundamentals don't mean anything anymore I suppose.

@@chrisgibbs9175 You misunderstand. I am not talking about the technical aspect of the move sets. They just made everything look so basic he is just not fun to watch. It's like watching an MMA with a grappler, sure technically sound but just not very exciting to watch them in action.
This is why the quality of competition matters. Kusanagi isn’t even coming close to beating AB Ken and other top Japanese players. He’s good but he’s not that guy and neither is ryu
This is a casual set who the hell cares? You really think people are in the same state of mind during a serious competition and a casual set? I can play a casual set when tired/hungry aka not in optimal state if i want, it's not a big deal. I might even just care less about certain aspect of the game and might try out stuff just for the heck of it.

Kusanagi showed his power level through out the exchanges but AB is a seasoned Vet… what a fight 💯👌🏿
AB is such a good defensive player, he will downback just a little longer than normal, letting the opponent hang themselves. Really smart player.

I get the hype behind Kusanagi since he won UFA 2024 but his Ryu is boring to watch.
He played it really boringly in this set which is weird. In UFA he was bulldogging much more.
