Amazing as always Brian. New Hampshirite here. We are getting a dusting of snow as I write this. A good day to stay in and paint. Thanks for the tutorial! 🙏
Thank you for such a well explained tutorial on open cup galaxy pour. The result was amazing….. weather here is expected to be 30C/86F today. I guess that happens on the other side of the world 😎☀
Love the dark moody blues! Getting cold here in Canada too. We had a rainy summer bur September and October were beautiful the weekend. Before Halloween we were out in our shorts and it snowed on the 30th. Love from NB Canada!
This is just stunning. I am new to your channel and am loving this open cup galaxy poor. Have you ever made a moon in the painting after or during your poor? Thankyou for sharing your techniques.😊
My first really successful pour was an open cup galaxy so they will always have a special place in my heart. I used some iridescent colours from Pebeo as well as some dark purple, and blue and a touch of gold on the black base. These blues you chose look gorgeous though, it's almost part ocean, part galaxy and it's so pretty! I shall have to try the trick, wrecking it with spirals of the cup (in my case I bought a set of about 8 cookie cutters of various sizes) as that created a really cool effect! I was too intent on trying not to let my cookie cutter run off to think about wrecking mine! 😂
So much for me doing essential chores and errands today. I HAVE to try this immediately. Your tutorial was excellent, the colors gorgeous and the outcome amazing. Thank you so much for explaining everything so clearly and in an uncomplicated manner. Clearly, I am inspired! And now, off to my paints....
all paints look amazing when they are wet. they dry dull. when you topcoat with resin or gloss varnish, that brings those colors back to life. @@entertain402
@@Studio15Acrylics in general what percentage of pcs get a topcoat from artists in general vs being left as is...just curious, and rough estimate is fine
that would be a head scratcher for sure. It really depends on the artist. For me, all my pieces either get gloss varnish or resin. My friend Mina, if she uses a gloss medium in her paints then she doesn't put a top coat on her pieces because they have some sheen from the medium. Some people don't like the shine so they use a matte finish. @@entertain402

Do you push your cup down into the paint or do you just set it on top
What colors did you use? I missed that part.
Yes, dark but stunning. Where are the dogs and at least it’s not raining with you. Hasn’t stopped for weeks here.
