@chewywoka thanks for dropping by and taking time to write. I am glad you enjoyed it... so much too learn from Bach. Much has changed since i last recorded it.. hopefully i can share with you a more mature version of this cello suite in the future... looking forward to your upload. bye for now. !
@gembela07062001 Thank you so much for taking time... yes it is really a journey... i was really fortunate also to have a master class with John WIlliams recently... YOu are making good profress as well.. Keep up the good work !
Sorry, I should've written my comment here, I listened to them one by one. I think I like your Prelude and Gigue the best. You can be proud of yourself, your playing is getting very mature. Seems your teacher makes you work hard, you must be grateful for it...
yes I agree 100%...you know I love John Feely's version...he is very underated....heck I bought the transcription and have been working on it.......but this just feels more like Bach... I might switch...lol thank you for all your work...great Job!
Hi Kevin, you have some really nice recordings on your channel.... I like your tone, your right hand picking produces a great sound.... many greetings from Germany Gerhard
Very nice! And if anyone knows the cello suites it's Johnny Williams! One of my all-time fav vintage albums going bk to college. 15? Really? You're awesome. A friend, a long-time player, has been playing 6-7 hrs a day the past few months with a metronome. He says he couldn;t believe how far off he was and is sooooo good now. I heard him 1 month ago.
Kevin, great job on these pieces. Are you using an NT-4 for this as well? What kind of mics are you using for your recordings? The guitar sounds great my friend. -Ryan
that church must have been wonderful to play in. I am sure that was a great opportunity. What do you use for mics and preamps for your home recordings you post? I am trying to get a nice simple recording set up and am enjoying the sounds you are getting. Keep it up buddy.
I think you did well on several things: C instead of D major. No added notes which sound artificial , good frasing, intention, the only point for me is the 6th string out of tune. Overall: excellent playing integrating authentic baroque way of playing blended with your vision!
I use the Rode NT4 mic with a ProFire 610 interface and Adobe Audtion 1.5. Fairly simple setup. Hope to upload some info in the future to my website... It is quite enjoyable to record.. Have fun !!!
Impeccable, d'une grande justesse !!!
thank you very much for taking time to listen.. I have updated the description my video notes on why C major. Hope it helps...

Hi Ryan,
thanks for your message. For this recording, we used the Sony PCM-D50. The is a natural in this church in France.

Thank you Gerhard !!
You can also play it in C if you tune the 6th string up to F and the second string up to C , this also produces an interesting resonance

OMG NO ADDED CORDS OR BASS NOTE. YES PERFECT!
I take that back. I think u should have played the original score.
Или запись плохая, или гитара "выстреливает" звук. Это первое. Второе - а музыки та и нет..
