1960 Mercury Monterey Convertible
Why This Car Is Special
The Mercury Monterey was a series of full-size cars that were manufactured and marketed by the Mercury division of Ford from 1952 to 1974. Deriving its name from Monterey Bay, the Mercury Monterey served as the upscale version of the Mercury Custom which replaced the Mercury Eight, the debut model line of the Mercury division.

Mechanics
Our Merc has the original 383 cubic inch engine backed by an automatic transmission and has a custom red & white painted factory air cleaner assembly and Mercury valve covers, factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, Power steering, Dual exhaust, aluminum aftermarket radiator, and looks all stock as it was when it was brand new.
Interior
Our Merc has a great looking restored red & white interior with the full-size Spit bench front seat, Radio, White factory steering wheel, Red & White dash with all gauges, Red carpets, and matching red & white door panels and rear seat.
The red & white interior, like the engine compartment, looks like it was when new. It also has a red parade boot and that gorgeous red power top.
Exterior
Our Mercury has a white paint job and the red power convertible top and boot that sets it off nicely. It looks as stock with its 4-headlight grille, great trim, chrome bumpers, quad headlights, and badging.
The "convertible boat top" look made these 1960 Mercury's very rare with them few and far between.
Conclusion
The 1960 Mercury Monterey Convertible we have at Skyway Classics has a lot of originality and can be taken to local car shows or just driven around and enjoyed with the top up or down and you will certainly have a whole lot of fun driving it either way!
