You see, this solidifies her position as the group’s Main Vocalist. As far as I’m concerned, they always send the main vocalists in this show. Haerin’s vocals are great but not as polished and stable as Hanni’s. Hanni is just that K-Pop anomaly that owns both Main Dancer and Main Vocalist positions (like Mia from Everglow). She’s is so talented!

One of the prettiest and charming vocal tones of 4th gen. Honestly she might not be the most skilled singer in 4th gen but no one can deny how charming she is when she sings plus her tone is such so comfortable and beautiful to listen to. Its perfectly sweet, warm and comforting. When she sings with her guitar playing like she does in through the night performance here, in her vlogs back at her home vacation it has such a healing effect on the listeners.

Hanni is seriously born to be a star. I’m so proud of her🥹 New Jeans isn’t even half year old but Hanni is able to come out on a show alone and being a foreigner, she’s able to answer all the questions greatly, slaying her vocals, playing instrument. Being one of the best dancers of the group, honestly what can she not do?? I can already see her singing OSTs in the future and even releasing her solo album. She’s really one of my favourite voices of kpop. I’m so in love with her vocals🫠🫶 I’m glad her label found this gem!

노래 부르기에 팝송이 훨씬 쉬웠을텐데 와르르 같은 한국어로 가득한 노래도 이렇게 완벽하게 소화하는게 숨은 노력들이 보이는거 같아서 좋아 🥹

Her Korean is very impressive.. I've never seen foreign kpop idol(that just debuted),who didn't speak fluent Korean prior to debuting, speak well like that. Her sentences are well formulated and the expressions,vocabularies are very on point. Maybe pronunciation is something she struggles with but the overall flow is really natural!

한국어 발음이 부정확한 부분이 있다고 생각했었는데 독특한 떨림과 함께 콧소리가 있군요.
나름의 매력인 것 같네요.

I agree and imo most importantly I think she has that personality and temperament that's very easy to adore by the audience and she has that x factor charm that translates well through the camera.
Someone might be a great dancer or singer but might not have the most lovable personality. Hanni from what I have read and seen has very warm, friendly countenance and she has good sense and emotional intelligence even though she's young. It's very important to have in order to be a charming performer or to become a superstar.

I love NewJeans and Hanni’s my bias in the group, so I was super excited to see her here, but more than anything I find her stories of how they prepared/trained most fascinating. It’s super interesting to me how they practiced covering songs similar to their own to better prepare them, not to mention how they don’t get guide vocals. I’d never really thought about it until now, but it’s so true how when I learn songs by listening to others sing it I find myself trying to sing it like the original singer!
Anyway, Hanni did so well here despite being so new and nervous! Her voice is beautiful as always, and I’m so happy seeing her start to relax and have fun with it! Her voice suits Lucky so well 🥰

You said my mind. Her plucking and fret work is really good. She change chords quickly and smoothly too. And it's crazy to think that she's only 18 and can improve much more in the future.

@@hlcb8862 i think she was just being humble. She must've practiced really hard for not only this song. And its true that she has potential for this.
@HL CB She is humble and of course there's plenty of room for her to grow as a guitar player or a musician in general. But she undeniably has a lot of potential. I would interpret her sentence as this is the only song she can play in fingerstyle as of now. For other songs, she could very well strum the chords just like when she plays ukelele.
Playing guitar in fingerstyle is not easy. And this song is not easy to play from what I can see in this perf - lots of chord transitions plus plucking accurately + fret work.
