All I can say is,I can't explain why Yoga and meditation can change your life so dramatically,all I know is it really can. I decided to commit to it for 3 weeks just to try it,and after 2 months,not only the nightmares and worries disappeared,but also other minor illnesses I had started disappearing as well, Today,5 years later,I enjoy of perfect health and peace in my mind. I hope you find it as well. If you take it seriously it will.

I don't like to impose my ways of thinking to others,but I had a similar problems for several years and I stooped it by practicing Hatha yoga and meditation. One day I decided to give it a shot,so I committed to practice for 3 weeks and it changed my life like nobody can imagine. That was 5 years ago and I haven't stopped since then ,it's a miracle. I hope it helps.
I'm in Puerto Rico now and these landscapes look like southern PR (Caribbean side) or possibly Dominican Republic.

This thing is so awesome. I put it up on my secondary screen at work, and it keeps me calm, focused, and productive under stressful situations. Hehe, usually. Today I keep finding myself watching it instead of working, but at least it's keeping my spirit happy.

The truth is this: Finding an experienced teacher is the best thing you can do,but it's not the only way to learn. When I was having that problem,very similar to yours I started practicing by myself because I realized no one could help me,I was the only one who could take action,so I took some books on basic hatha yoga and meditation from the library and learned the basic positions on youtube. You can find tons of videos on youtube of people teaching the most important positions.
