    Dr. Robert Hobbs specializes in twentieth- and twenty-first-century art. He is the author of more than twenty books, including monographs on Milton Avery, Edward Hopper, Robert Motherwell, Lee Krasner, Robert Smithson, and Kara Walker, as well as Andres Serrano, Kelley Walker, and Kehinde Wiley. His curated exhibitions have been shown at such venues as the Venice Biennale, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
