Seinfeld is a television sitcom created by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld. The show stars Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Michael Richards in the lead.
The series revolves around the continuing misadventures of neurotic New York City stand-up comedian Jerry Seinfeld and his equally neurotic New York City friends. It also describes the lives of four single friends: comic Jerry Seinfeld, bungling George Costanza, frustrated working gal Elaine Benes, and eccentric neighbor Cosmo Kramer, who deal with the absurdities of everyday life in New York City.

Final season of the Series Jerry was making $1M per episode, a record for a TV series. And then he decided to walk away.....something rarely done. I suspect NBC executives are still in mourning.

So that is why he could afford the 250 $ cleaning.

Seinfeld was on decline. Maybe not in rating, but in quality. I'm user Jerry was aware of the show's drop in writing and storylines.

You have to know when to walk away. The walking dead should have. Now it is a zombie itself shambling along like so many other shows.

@@TheIrishRushin I agree, but having the courage to leave a $1M/week paycheck is extraordinary. They had an army of writers and I'm sure NBC would have done just about anything to keep the show going, but Jerry must have felt it was impossible to maintain the high quality scripts, acting and energy level they displayed for 9 years. We see examples all the time of people who "stayed too long" in sports, acting, etc., and it's rather sad. I hate to say it, but he likely made a very well-timed decision.
