An excellent and readable writer on the subject of geopolitics. One who fully understands his country and its place in the world.

The geography of the United States and the conquest of the West is the basis for the position of the US in the world. It could lead in two directions. As just an 'American republic' or as an imperial state. It became an imperial state. Ignited by WO II and continued by a coup d'etat in the early 60s. I mean the assassination of President Kennedy. Forces behind that act were the military industrial complex, big business and Wall Street. Kennedy was at first in favor of the cold war and imperial acting, but changed his thinking in his 1000 days. Due to the Cuba crisis. It was the main political reason why he was killed on a Dallas street.

A delusional socialist perspective going back to the time of Wilson.
The United States is currently in a period of consolidation. A re-consolidation of our people and assets after decades of being economically drained by the rest of the world. This, plus a re-consolidation of our business structure in preparing for the inevitable globalization yet to come. The name of the future game is to be first, instead of playing catch up like we have been doing for decades. The current situation of the US is in a brief, but well needed break from a world that is more than happy to take whatever they can for free. The US is paying the price for a world that is more than capable of monetarily taking care of itself. The US no longer wishes to play such a game. We are re-positioning our assets.
