Video is still legit! Long time BLS renewal but first time using this RQI process. Absolutely have NO CLUE what to expect but thanks to YOU, have a nice visual on what to look forward to ESPECIALLY the 2 person rescuer setup. Many thanks again RN Katherine for showing the way!!

@@jenniferrsn Oh my goodness, so easy! I was all worked up and worried and stressed for NO reason at all lol - it may be different for you as far as class setting but there were 3 other people in there, 1 instructor and we all were in a line and just performed compressions on a dummy, used the ambu bag, then we paired up and did a couple scenarios as the instructor kind of just took turned watching us but it’s so easy. They want everyone to pass so she was more so showing us the right way and asking a few questions here and there but she said almost ALWAYS everyone passes lol.

@@Katherine_Ann I can't imagine trying to video myself... I would feel so self-conscious... and I'm such a perfectionist that I would always find fault in all of my recordings...
Was going to add that I also sing "Stay alive" while doing compression's to keep the rhythm correct. My biggest struggle is to remember to verbalize the count. Otherwise I'm pretty solid. :-)
My re-certification in October for CPR Healthcare professionals level was done via an online portal through a private company because of the virus... it was somewhat like this, but a little different because it was in my own home while they watched me perform CPR on a stuffed animal. It was kind of odd lol! But, maybe because it was a re-cert, and they could see that it has been in an active status for over 10-years maybe they just gave me a "free pass"?? IDK the whole experience was odd but the card provided by this particular company was real nice, more than just a print out like the time before with American Heart Association.

That's a common thing people worry about! It sounds terrifying, but it's not uncommon for providers to break ribs. You obviously don't want to do any harm to a person if you can help it, but if a patient is in cardiac arrest, they're already on their way to death, CPR is one of the few things you can do to save their life.
