I work on heavy equipment and have a hard time hearing midrange. Does this unit have, or can it be adjusted for, the more raspy sounds? This is the problem I have with my Sena, it’s mainly mid tone and I have to raise my windshield in order to hear audiobooks. This is okay when it’s cold out, but when it’s nice out it feels like I’m riding in an oven, just to hear my tunes/books.
@albertpeugh9367 I can hear everything perfectly at 80MPH with my visor open. There is also a sound profile in the Cardo Connect app specifically for speech. Hope this helps!
We recently switched to Cardo Packtalk Edge Duo! LOVE LOVE them! Waaaay better than our previous other brand! Easy to connect to each other or others, crystal clear & appreciate they are waterproof!
I've been using SENA for over a decade; almost from when I started riding. My very first comms system was a Cardo - the first version where the entire unit felt kind of like a big eraser. I may be switching because of these amenities. NOTE: Unfortunately, consumers are spending near (or over) $1K for a dual set + additional helmet docking setups + the upgraded speakers
Cardo has come a long way. I got a Sena 50s with my CVO and it worked, but isn't nearly as good as the Packtalk Edge. With my 10% off promo code, you can get the Packtalk Edge Duo (dual set) with everything you need for $657. Also no need to upgrade the speakers, the sound quality is fantastic! Definitely worth the switch brother. I appreciate you watching!
I haven't bought any yet but whatever you choose if you want the best I would buy Cardio or Sena. Those are the two big boys like Samsung & Apple. The Sena does open coms mesh or whatever you wanna call it. Basically the Sena if a random bike has a Sena too he can key up on one of the channels & talk to you. Providing your on a open channel & same channel. If you want open comms id recommed using channel #1 as a radio operator I notice everyone uses channel 1 by default
I have used both Cardo and Sena, and Cardo is hands down way better. It’s just more user friendly. I tried to like Sena because one came with my CVO. I just didn’t like it.
Nice job man, really enjoyed the examples of the Natural Voice features on the Cardo. Just purchased and Edge, the price was definitely something to come to terms with..but a great investment. Tested it out today, and it is crisp, smooth and effortless and damn near dummy proof..which is right up my alley lol. Great Review bro 👌🏾💪🏾
Good information. Have Q - What's difference between Harley Cardo and normal Cardo Packtalk Edge? Can we use Harley Cardo Packtalk Edge in non Harley Motorcycles, would it have any less features?
The Harley version is aimed toward the 24 and newer Harley models. It allows you to use the Harley voice commands. That’s really the only extra feature. I’m not a fan of them, so I don’t even use it. I found the regular Cardo Edge works best. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching!
Got a question, and maybe you already answered it, and i did not see it. My question is, can you connect to the bike and separate phones and still talk with you passenger. Could my headset be connected to my phone and my wifes beconnected to hers, and we can talk, but they are both connected to the bike?
I know for sure your headsets can be connected to different phones and still be able to talk. As far as being connected to your phones and the bike, that’s possible too, but it can get glitchy with the new models with the Skyline infotainment. What I do is connect my headset and phone only to the infotainment system. If you try to pair your phone to the bike and Cardo, they fight over the Bluetooth connection causing glitches. Hope this makes sense!
The Harley branded one lets you use the voice control that’s built into the bike. In all honesty, I use my voice assistant on my phone so I’ve never really used the built in Harley one.
Great video! Got the edge recently (non Harley branded) and having to issue keeping it connected to my 2024 street glide and phone at the same time. If connected to Harley, I’m unable to launch the Cardo app on the phone. Any suggestions?
So this is how I have mine setup. I connect my headset to the bike only. I don’t pair my phone to it. My phone is paired to the bike as well. If you end up trying to connect your phone and the bike to the headset, they fight for the connection and it just doesn’t work correctly. Randomly it will start playing your music through the headset and if you go to use Siri, the mic doesn’t work. If I need to change the settings through the Cardo app, I will make sure my bike is off and then pair my phone to the headset. I’ll make my changes in the app then disconnect it from my phone completely. With the Cardo voice commands, I pretty much can do what I need without hitting any buttons. Turn the music off and on, skip to the next song, turn the volume up and down, etc. Then I can press the voice command button on my hand controls to use Siri. I absolutely love it. Hope this helps!
I can hear everything perfect going 80mph. I have a very loud exhaust on my bike. I don’t even have to turn the headset volume all the way up. The key is to make sure you have the speakers placed properly to be directly over your ears. Hope this helps. Appreciate you watching!
Not a dumb question. I’m sure you could as long as the cheap unit has the correct plug to plug them in. Cardo also makes cheaper models, but they are still awesome units. Hope this helps!
@@mythsiprototype1739 yes it can. Once you start talking, the music volume will lower. You can also adjust how quiet the music gets while talking. There is also an option for you to share the music you are listening to. Hope this helps!
If you’re in a group chat, they will hear you say it. However I believe if you mute the microphone from the group chat, you’ll still be able to use the voice commands. You just won’t be able to use your assistant on your phone while the mic is muted. Hope this helps!
What's the range. I have the Cardo Bold and the range is horrible. Works great in my sidexsides to talk to my wife. But bike to bike next to impossible. Only about 60ft. Despite their claims. This is coming from personal experience.
Cardo says up to 5 miles. I’m guessing with no obstructions. I used my bold a couple times in group rides and didn’t have any issues. So far I’ve only used my edge with my wife and it’s been flawless.
Cardo pack talk is definitely worth the money!!!! But before you buy make sure become a member of @joegoemotorcycleadventures and btw the cardo can be used as a motovlog audio recorder … so save those duckets and get a cardo!!!
Use the Harley branded Carlos on my 24 Road Glide and 23 CVO SG. Voice commands don't work, phone calls don't go through the IFT on the bike, maybe my settings are wrong? The buttons on the Cardo are too small, can't operate them with gloves on. Sound quality is excellent, pairs with bike fine, bike usually remembers pairing. Wondering if non branded Cardos work better?
I'm not sure. I know on my 23 RG CVO I'm able to control the radio volume with the headset. Could be a wrong setting with your 2024. I'm not sure because I haven't tried it. Maybe try emailing Cardo. Sorry I can't help!

Cardo is hands down the best! I love everything about it. I appreciate you watching!
That’s impressive it’s been going strong for 6 years!
Yes sir! The thing doesn't want to quit!
Appreciate the knowledge and love the humor!
Glad you liked it! I appreciate you watching!

Thank you Joe for the rundown on this product. Chuck too! Looks simple enough to set up. I hear Cardo is the best! 😎
No problem Karen. They are super simple and definitely top notch quality! As always, I appreciate you watching!

Appreciate that! The edge is pricy, but it’s going to last for years. Appreciate you watching!

I have a 2024 Street Glide. What’s the advantage of the Harley version versus the non Harley?

Tell me please. If the riding is more than 100km/60mph you can hear better the conversation? With windy noise and exhaust?

would you say that the music quality and volume is better than the syphonpro?
I would. More bass with the Cardo. Other than that, they are pretty close
@@JoeGoeMotorcycleAdventures thank you👍🏻
No problem at all!
Idk if this is a dumb question but is it possible to buy a good cheap Bluetooth device then get the jbl speakers for better audio?

Do others hear you say hey cardo? If you're linked up to them or do voice commands not work when linked

Perfect review!
Thank you! Appreciate you watching!
I want the edge but I have 2 cardo slims already and they’re so expensive 😬
I hear ya. My promo code JOEGOE gets ya 10% off so it helps a bit. It's worth every penny though!
Does it connect to other brand headsets easy?
It will if you know how to put the other headset into pairing mode.
Yes sir the best on the market
Definitely top notch brother! Appreciate you watching!
How much it cost???
$399
I bought the Cardo packtalk Bold and after 2 years the battery was finished. Discovered that I was not the only one. So dissapointed
I’m sorry to hear that. I didn’t have that issue with mine.
My mic stopped working after 2 days of riding in the rain.
Were you able to get a refund or replacement ?
I didn't know Vin Diesel and Mr.Clean had a baby. 😂 Diesel Clean.
😂😂 I like it 😂😂

The only reason Chuck can’t use a cardo pack talk is because he doesn’t wear a helmet 😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
