  • I love the spontaneous effect the Hakeme brush gives. In this video I show the technique from start to finish just using my home made brushes. I also share my base white slip recipe, which unfortunately has been transposed in the video (I'm not a video expert), so I'll give it here.
    WHITE SLIP
    Kaolin. 25
    Ball Clay. 25
    Potash Feldspar. 20
    Silica. 20

Hi Trixy, Can this recipe be used for cone 5/6?

Kathy I haven't tried it as I only fire to Cone 9/10, but I think it would be fine. You could substitute the Potash Feldspar for Nephyline Syenite if it was a bit stiff at Cone 6.
