Yeah those formats for Batman Rebirth. Detective Comics is the same way. 4 dlx , then 2 trades, then back to 3 HCs, 1 tpb, 1 HC, then a dlx for 1027.

The next Batman omnibus will be no man’s land volume 2 and king volume 1. I think you’re of of luck. Just like what happened with Dr Aphra and Spider Gwen.
Intellectual exercise for a future ep: You’re together tasked with overseeing the entirety of a new line-wide DC reboot with carte blanche to do whatever you want for as long as you want: what are your organizing event conceit, editorial strategy (i.e. which titles do you launch with, for how long, in what format(s), and with what respective talent), and long-term goals for the reboot?
(My own simple answer to that same question would be to first radically and permanently overhaul the company’s creator royalties policies to a truly generous and non-exploitive model for the first time and then just hand Morrison the complete editorial and publishing reins of the company and all its imprints for as long as he wanted, but I’m still unsure what exactly I’d personally do in those roles beyond choosing certain writers and artists, granting them all carte blanche on their respective projects, and giving both the writers and artists up to five years to prep in order to maximize their chances of bringing their true A-games and for editorial to plan as thoroughly and ambitiously as possible.)

Jess I just got the updated super sons omnibus, also finished collecting rebirth superman trades. You think I should read these as stand alones or together? Reason I ask is there are 2 issues of superman that weren’t collected in trades but are in super sons. Think 36-37 or something. Much like superman reborn had 2 issues that weren’t in any superman trade. Thanks
I think you can read Supersons by itself , those superman issues are the first team ups of the Supersons and will blend nicely with the Supersons stories themselves. The issues in superman were standalone and you won’t be missing anything in Superman because of it

Do you think DC will collect Dixon and/or Simone’s Birds of Prey in OHC or omnibus format?
If omni pre-orders for this year’s releases stay strong they’ll go with omnis for both. The chief issue with DC’s omni publishing program from what I’ve ascertained has been overall anemic pre-order numbers on omnis and especially among the more obscure titles.
I think it’s possible! My belief is based on the Spectre omni. If that can get a (well deserved) omni, nothing is out of the question!
Tomasi"s Superman was great, such a shame when Bendis took over. He ruined Superman.
I absolutely understand, Jess... how a comic can make you feel dirty and icky. In my case it's Tom King's Batman making me feel disgusted by how pathetic and de-masculinized Batman was in his run. The cherry on top was when I read the first couple of issues of Batman/Catwoman. This was the chief run that has made me stop reading modern comics. The only bright gems are Detective Comics: Mythology, Batman: Damned, and the first Dark Nights Metal event. These were really really good in my personal opinion.
Over 80 years of Batman and most of the Baturdays In The Batcave are not about Batman. Weird
You should really stop being Tom King apologist, when you have only read the good parts and haven't actually read the part of his run where the shit hits the fan (DLX 5, City of Bane).
