The Properly Ordered Church - 1 Timothy

The Church of the Lord Jesus is a guardian and steward of the great Gospel of God. It is the responsibility of the Church to be a wall that holds back the pressures of the culture from infiltrating the purity of the teaching of Scripture. For the Church to fail to guard the truth is to fail completely, which is why the Church of the Living God must be biblically ordered and properly behaved.
In 1 Timothy 3:14-16, The Apostle Paul explains the Church’s role as the “pillar and buttress of the truth.” That is, the Church is a likened to a sea-wall, holding back the ever pounding waves of godlessness in the world from seeping into the Church and corrupting the purity of the great Gospel of God concerning His Son Jesus and His plan save sinners by giving them eternal life through faith in Christ. It is the greatness of the Gospel which demands the Church be biblically ordered and properly behaved.
