- The most popular and well-known neighborhood in Medellin is Poblado, this has traditionally been the place where the well to do live and is full of high rise apartment buildings, upscale restaurants, boutique shops, the center of weekend nightlife, and is ringed by Medellin’s best malls.
Poblado is a great place to visit while in town or visit every once and a while, but when it comes to day-to-day living, Laureles could be a very good option.

Excellent video and tour of my favorite area in Medellin. If you are lost, I am glad that I found you and look forward to more of your videos! The downtown area is very upscale with some excellent restaurants as you mentioned. La 70 and the area around it also has plenty of places to eat. Both are great places to walk around but are very different. Two awesome but distinct areas that are close to each other both in awesome Laureles!

This is a good video showing the other side of Medellin. It EXEMPLIFY Medellin can be beautiful, safe, posh, clean and not over populated area. Unlike areas such as Santa Fe.

When I do a world tour on day Columbia will be one of the places I want to go to.. I did a project on Bogota back in HS and I fell in love with Columbia 😂 future vlogger too so a collab could happen 😂

Hi Heidi, I was in Laureles in 2010 and stayed at The Wandering Paisa Hostel in Calle 44. I also visited Cali, Bogota, Cartagena and San Andres.

@@lost_heidy Yes I did. Medellin and Cali were in Jan. 2010, and the other 3 cities were visited in July 2006. Cartagena is absolutely sweltering and extremely humid at that time of year. In Medellin, I visited the Comuna 13 area by cable car and also went to the Poblado area at night time. In another part of the city, Barrio Colombia, I had a good night out at the Tres Cordilleras Pub, where you had to buy a batch of coupons in order to get your beers.

Medellin metro is a great way to get around $0.70c =2750 cop per ride.

Hey Regine ! Well it doesn’t mean everywhere is dangerous is just about being careful, walking daylight not in the midnight also laureles is more residential and less crowded, just check your environment before filming ! That’s all !

It’s not cheaper but it’s very reasonable price ! Taxis in here are yellow, but my recommendation is get it always by apps.

You should've shown the cup of coffee, you were having and probably a piece of cake. Now we have no idea, what you got and if we're visiting the city, what we can get. If you had something delicious, we can say, I would like to go there and have what she had with the coffee. Any little detail you can show about the food offerings in the city is an inviting plus. Unless, you stop to eat a snack, like an empanada, an almojábana or morcilla or enjoying the local foods, you're not showing anything about the city. People don't go for the look of the streets only. They visit the inner cities for their food. We want to know what you can eat there and people not arriving there clueless about the food, because, nobody show it to them and the location of the tasties ones. Buildings and hotels you can mention, instead food you need to show and describe and watch you enjoying the food.
