    Excellent! What do you think about quality of Mould King bricks? Your can pair second battery with second controller to operate both at same time. Turn on first battery and pair with one controller then turn on second battery to pair with second controller. However, once battery is off you have to pair them again.

      Hi. I think most of the bricks are 95% as good as lego, and on a par with other building block companys' bricks. The carbon fibre axles are much stiffer and better than their ABS counterparts, but are quite stiff to slide the 45 degree gears along. A very minor cleanup of the cross shaped hole in the 45 degree gear using a hobby knife and swiss file as described made them fit perfectly.
      Yes, since editing this video, I have has a mess around with both handsets, and as long as you switch on each box and each handset in the correct sequence, all 8 functions can be controlled together using both handsets.

    Hola buenas noches, me gusto la grúa y también la compre al ver tu video. Tengo un problema, las cuatro extensiones de las patas para fijar la grúa en el piso no funcionan correctamente, dos abren y las otras dos cierran, ya revise el manual y no se que pudo suceder, que recomendación me puedes dar. Gracias

      Hi. My outrigger extensions also sometimes bind up and catch. You could try shaving some graphite (pencil lead), and apply the graphite dust to the moving parts to act as a dry lubricant. Hope this helps.

    im having a problem! Step 283 and 287: the mounts for the motors, are too close to the black inner rail with the teeth... its jamming! Havent put it all the way together yet, for fear of having to tear it back apart.

    • @ScaleMeDown
      @ScaleMeDown  3 года назад +2

      Just had a dig through the instruction manual. The pins at the front of the motor (not the axle connector)go into the side frames, and yes, it was very close when assembled on mine too ! Positioning the geared, black, slider portion a bit further out helps a bit also. When fitting this riser to the crane, I turned the whole assembly over (upside down) which gave smoother and a greater range of motion. I detail this in our "upgrades" video here; ruclips.net/video/2h9ZxNX04Xs/видео.html Don't forget to subscribe and like :-)

      @@ScaleMeDown I just barreled ahead. Finished the boom, and although it is a bit jerky the movement, because of the part that's too close to the black teeth, it still extends and retracts fully. If it bothers me when it's all done, I might take my dremel to the offending part ( i.ebayimg.com/images/g/LXMAAOSwsrlcRBtQ/s-l500.jpg ) Thanks for the advice.

      I just bought this crane and ran into the same problem. I used an emery board and just sanded the two 2 hole beams flat a little on the end. A dermal may remove too much if you are not careful.

    I have just built same model, really good, but inner boom extension doesn’t come out, cannot see where I have gone wrong, it is just the two bits of string isn’t it?

    • @ScaleMeDown
      @ScaleMeDown  4 года назад +2

      Hi, the instructions could be better for this part - we had difficulty also. What doesn't help is that the boom is black and the string is black, so the instructions are difficult to follow, and the inside of the boom is very dark so it is hard to see what you are doing.
      Yes, there are just 2 bits of string, and we figured out what should be fastened where by leaving one side of the inner and the outer booms off whilst we worked out how it all works. We eventually intend to replace the stretchy black string with some yellow kevlar kite twine which will make the action much smoother.
      Hope this helps

    hi, I have a question for you. I followed the assembly instructions, but I can't understand how the last part of the arm works. I connected the wires as per instructions, but it doesn't work for me, it doesn't come out. you can explain how it works and how it comes out of the arm.thanks

    Great Video !
    May i have one question :
    As i can see in the video, the crane runs super smooth, did u have any modifications or we just follow the MK's Instructions book is okay
    Thanks

    • @ScaleMeDown
      @ScaleMeDown  4 года назад +2

      The crane works exactly as on the video, very smooth in real life just using the MK instructions exactly. After I shot this video however, I have experimented with turning the boom actuator upside down which gives a little more travel up and down to the boom.
      I am also planning to replace the string from the kit with some kevlar kite twine that I have. As I explain on the video, the supplied string works fine, but is a bit thick and stretchy, so the kite twine will probably work better. It also has the advantage of being bright yellow, so it will show up better against the black parts of the crane.
