i caught the end of this on the news this morning...and went nuts trying to find it the perfect blues, along with that amazing trucks slide guitar..and those bellowing vocals..ttb has one helluva chemistry...great job with this one guys!!
***** yep, KS. actually, that has exactly been my statement about TTB. no band firing on all cylinders like they are. saw them and the Crowes in Chicago last year. honestly, the sound was about perfect for TTB and took a total dump when the Crowes came out. not that they were playing bad, the sound itself went to crap. and you could tell that Chris was singing his ass off. and they had Jackie Greene on guitar, as well. weird thing was, when TTB came out to play with them for the close, the sound got much better. TTB w/ WSP in Chicago this year. waiting for TTB to book The Riverside in Milwaukee. WSP just booked 3 nights there, so we're hoping TTB will be there as well. would be the third time there for them. in a selfish way, I hope TTB stays under the radar, somewhat so it doesn't become impossible to get good seats at reasonable prices. but if there is a band that truly deserves to get to that level, it is Tedeschi Trucks Band.
I saw them a few years ago, but really I thought they had just too much going on. No need whatsoever for the sax or trumpet, and I could barely hear the keyboards anyway. I think Susan sounded better with her own band. TTB was too much noise at times.
Back in the day when I lied We'd always fight Now here you are fooling 'round Out every night I don't have to take it anymore And I'm tired of always keeping score All I'm saying Do I look worried to you? Oh, do I look worried? Smacked in the face Such a disgrace You were wrong I try it again Stay 'till the end But how long? And we've been here so many times And I know you've feed me so many lines All I'm saying Do I look worried to you? Oh, do I look worried? Oh, worried to you Oh, 'cause I ain't worried Fool me once or twice you know they'll say Shame on you But now that I'm done with the math Here's what I'll do I'll find my way to an open door 'Cause it's not the same as it was before All I'm saying Do I look worried to you? Oh, do I look worried? Oh, worried? Oh, 'cause I ain't worried Lord, 'cause I ain't worried You better, you better be worried Oh, worried, worried, worried, worried Worried, worried I Ain't gonna take it Anymore Oh
They have three of those loud fenders up front but none of them have inputs plugged into them lol ... must be running axe fx straight to front of house .... but then they savagely dont use in ear monitors
Are you shitting me he's been touring since 11 years old had his own band for years and like what has been said when your asked to play for the allmans at 19 by Greg and butch that proves how much talent he has. then to be asked by Clapton to tour with him for a year hhhmmmmm go figure can't be his successful career as an outstanding guitarist and musician can it.

If TTB isn't the best American band at this time, please tell me who is. And, they're firing on one drummer and no horns for this spot.

Back in the day when I lied
We'd always fight
Now here you are fooling 'round
Out every night
I don't have to take it anymore
And I'm tired of always keeping score
All I'm saying
Do I look worried to you?
Oh, do I look worried?
Smacked in the face
Such a disgrace
You were wrong
I try it again
Stay 'till the end
But how long?
And we've been here so many times
And I know you've feed me so many lines
All I'm saying

Oh, do I look worried?
Oh, worried to you
Oh, 'cause I ain't worried
Fool me once or twice you know they'll say
Shame on you
But now that I'm done with the math
Here's what I'll do
I'll find my way to an open door
'Cause it's not the same as it was before
All I'm saying
Do I look worried to you?
Oh, do I look worried?
Oh, worried?
Oh, 'cause I ain't worried
Lord, 'cause I ain't worried
You better, you better be worried
Oh, worried, worried, worried, worried
Worried, worried
I Ain't gonna take it
Anymore
Oh
JJ Johnson on drums? Looks so different....
wheres the horns?

Susan has been around for a long time.....she is amazing, Trucks is good, but she is the reason for any success............wonderful !

Her vocals are nothing special. The band is carried completely by Trucks.
My buddy told me this album was disappointing. I like this set. Yikes, Susan keeps this band from being Lettermans band. Not saying that isn't good.
Imagine hearing this band play and thinking that Susan is the key member.
this made me nauseous
