I had so much fun on set ( it was my first time on a tv set!) and definitely made the best memories there, it was cool being featured and being able to see the cast in action - so I figured it would be cool to share that! Best of luck to everyone looking to audition.

I applied to a lot of stuff for Season 4, and I was Picked!!!!....Kinda😂
Back in October I appied for 15-17 80's high school athlete, and I got a text back from a CTM employee. I was put in a pool of people to he photo picked for the role, but the Duffers decided to change the role to a stunt role, so none of the extra's were needed...but I was almost picked I guess!! I'm still applying to anything I see for my age range

People from elsewhere are only flown out if they booked more of a major role. Extras/Background characters are chosen from the local area since it wouldn’t make sense to spend so much money on those who don’t even have a speaking role

Me too and I signed up for season 5 yesterday but it didn’t give me that option🙄. Wtv it will definitely give you a higher chance of getting in if you are will to cut and perm your hair though!

Where do you find where it says things about gymnastics? On taylor made it doesn't ask.
@@sarahburns312 that was an older casting so that role has already been casted! You can still use the video to help you understand the best way to submit your materials :)

@@sarahburns312 if it’s no longer on their website then may have have gotten enough submissions and are looking through them! Background work tends to have pretty quick turnover depending on what it is

I literally was like “omg I’m perfect for this” when you said if you have curly hair or if you or a family member have a vintage car bc I have curly hair and my grandma has a vintage car

I had an agent until about 2 years ago, I forgot the process but it’s not super hard

it just made me laugh so i had to, it was either that or callen in short shorts
so the thing for me is, I live in Canada, I’ve wanted to be in stranger things since season one. So I started to look into it around a month after the first season came out, but after a while of trying to find a way to get to live/stay anywhere in the US i kind of gave up.
But now that I’ve gotten back into looking at this…, there might be some hope, my grandma lives in Arizona so i might move in with her for awhile to try to audition if all goes well! But if it doesn’t work out I will be sad but I really want to have a chance! So hopefully I can try! I know if I do get a role I’ll miss a lot of school… as I’m in high school that might not work out..! But I’ll hopefully figure something out.

I live in Florida as well, and when I tried to do it, it said I needed a GDOL permit. But how do I get one if I don’t live in Georgia? And how did you do it?
If u go on casting Taylor made and go to the form where u fill out all of ur info to be an extra, at the very top u will see the link for the GDOL permit. U will have to fill out a form for it though, and they will contact u in a few days to say if it was approved or not
You apply through the .gov website for a GDOL (just Google it and it will appear)

Yes so if you submitted materials (auditions would mean they sent you to a script to read for them so it’s slightly different!) and they didn’t get back to you then you would have not been booked. Which is ok! You’re not going to get selected for everything you submit to :)

Yup 😁 my first day on set actually, sat close to Millie and was able to briefly chat. You’re really not supposed to but obviously if they say something to you it’s ok 👌🏼

Did they get back to you the same day you applied? if not how many days before filming did u find out u we’re gonna be in it like for example if it was being filmed on february 23 how many days before hand did u find out to give urself time to prepare
No they didn’t reply the same day I applied until it was for another specific role. I was in a pool of people that was going to be selected for “Core Background” meaning they choose you most frequently and change your look depending on the scene.

probably not an acting background, but you will need to know how to act.
it depends a lot, but probably not, obviously if you don’t know how to act you aren’t going to get a call back, but if you know go for it!!
For background you don’t have to have any experience acting 😁 Really just have to be willing to follow directions and be respectful of everyone on set and how it can be a little chaotic.

I have a question I saw one of your replies on when you said that if you talk to one of the cast members you will get fired is there a reason or is it the actors doesn't like it
It’s their job to be there to act, not a meet n’ greet. As a background actor it is your job to be in the background and follow directions. It’s fine to be excited about being on set but not ok to distract someone from their job 😁

My mom signed me up (I’m 14) but the pictures are really blurry and I told her but she said it was fine. She also gave them my number instead of hers but I’m not sure how to know if they’re gunna call me and I’m really worried since the pictures are so pixelated

They do your makeup but it’s not a meet and greet, it’s a job, you’re required not to speak to the cast and you will be fired if you try to take photos on set - I met nearly everyone 😊

If you’re a minor you need 1. Parental permission (because they have to be on set with you) 2. A work permit (super easy to apply, just Google GDOL work permit)
Unfortunately if you’re overseas this wouldn’t be the casting call for you just because for background it’s easier for production to select someone in the US and closer to Atlanta.
Speaking roles they have selected cast members from UK & Australia but that’s requires having an agent 😁

I would just love to be on the show i am very passionate about acting and since season 1 I have wanted to be on the show and I would be so grateful if I were to get casted as a character but Do I need any experience?
I read on Backstage that for Stranger Things, the casting director (sorry I forgot her name) said that previous experience depends on the role your going for :) it’s possible per say that you get a small role with no experience just because you are really talented. But for a big/major role experience is likely needed

I can’t because my profile is already made with them but you are on the right site, you need to submit your social as well have apply to have essentially a permit to work as a minor, they go more into detail about that on the site
