    The black dots are intentional. Its like water detectors inside of iPhones- shows you evidence of the wire being abused

    Maybe run high current through the wire then see with a thermal what the temp is vs just heating up the jackets?? Also whats the baseline on a install playing music/tones. Use a gun to see the temps on the wire in a install

    Deas Nutz recommends EB flex welding wire. I plan to purchase some very soon. The price seems to be very reasonable 👍🏼

    Iv always ùsed weld cable because it ment to with standard a beating for safety reason you can run it over with a fork lift and it still survive not to many thing can handle that at all a fork lift heavier then some cars . Your test isn't completely fair when comparing wire it should all get the same treatment so you can see how much damage can be done even if the other wire junk. In my opinion 😮

      I know welding wire casings can take SOO much more than Car audio wire casings. which is why i gave them more torture. in the last video i tested them all the same, ISH i was still developing the test method

      @CarAudioEnthusiasts I did get a chance to see it. I'll check it out. I was lucky enough to get a 20ft roll of welding cable for free. I was picking up some supplies my work had ordered and some one had dropped a roll off there truck at a intersection. I stop and picked it up. Realized I had scored . Had to be off a welding truck guy probably didn't put it In the bed and sat it on top and left . It was less then 100ft from the supply store. 💯👍✌️

    Loving the flex whip just wish they had something larger I run 2/0 car audio or 4/0 welding for front to back than I go 1/0 from lithium to amps. I’d do all flex if they made 3/0 or 4/0 . I do believe they make 2/0 but 2/0 welding is 1/0 car audio right. I guess could stop doing such a thick main run and double up and use all flex whip 2/0. I love orange all my cable is bright orange and black so I’m liking the flex whip.

      Doing a double run is better imo because it lowers the resistance while having the same amp/ voltage capability 😉

      I just ran Temco 4/0 from the front of my Suburban to the back and I’m running 2/0 from there to everything else. They sell it on Amazon and they are very reasonable on the price. The cable is as flexible as I need it to be able more so to be honest. Now the 4/0 is a little bit more stiff than the 2/0 but I’m sure that’s the case with any other cables out there.

      Ok but I was looking for 4/0 in the orange flex whip I have 4/0 welding in red and black just wanting orange welding in 4/0 plus the flex is nice on flex whip.

    I have watched the video as it seemed something interesting, however I don't really understand what this test should show? You are trying to melt 100°C rated jackets with a 300°C heat gun. How does this translate to anything real world? How does this test the actual cable? I mean is this if your car catches fire? It's like if I would try to smash apples with a hammer in order to determine the caloric value 🤷

    • @CarAudioEnthusiasts
      @CarAudioEnthusiasts  7 дней назад +1

      OFC 1/0 Gauge is what it is, The variables, are more about the Jacket than the wire. So think of it as crash testing a car.
