I had the pleasure of meeting Chris and Steve way back in the 1990s. He came to Australia on a tour and joined me in my band on several occasions. He's right up there with the best. What a loss.
i work in a very hi quality audio video shop whe sell speakers up to 55,000 dollars i heard that song in many very expensive setups and it becaume like my signature test song befor i woud use hotel california from the eagles.
Fernando Medeiros I’m in the same boat as you friend, what the hells up with all these people? I don’t give a flying shit bout your headphones! I came to communicate with people about this beautiful music.
Man, his music is truly awesome, LITERALLY just discovered it through a video of B&W speakers (and Long After Your Gone was playing) instantly loved what I heard. This kind of music is no longer made :(
First heard this song from these other folks setting up a concert stage! at first i thought someone is literally rocking a freestyle! Great legendary masterpiece..
Did manual labor getting a festival ready and they tested the sound system using this song. Imagine working in the sun and dirt, carrying beer barrels and listening to this song for a few hours straight :)
not just being used for demoing speakers! Know quite a few Sound Techs who even use the song to adjust and set-up a complete Concert/Stadium/Stage. This song is just in 1 word said: AMAZING!!!!!
My best friend would and still uses this song to set up the entire stage. When you hear them play this song from a distance you think there is some undiscovered headliner rocking up the grooves. Well, it's much more than that, it is a hidden gem you have had the honor to discover, the prodigy Chris Jones.
I Heard that Song on an L-acoustics Demo Event, holy fuck it sounded amazing, instantly Fell in love with this Song, Also Sounds Great on my k1's and ks28
Enjoying the audio file from the PC to my FiiO Q1 (entry level DAC) and then to my over the ear headphones by Beyer Dynamics (DT 770 PRO 32 ohm). A great experience.
Not the first time it has been used demoing speakers. The few times I have been at HiFi events (in Sweden), this song has been used also. Great song and fantastic utilization of the lower frequency range. Haven't really heard anything like it. Ben Harper would come close insome respect with his song "Like A King" maybe having the Mutonic Four doing some bass singing magic. :-)
I work in a very expensive hifi shop these song is used many times to test the loudspeakers whe sell cheapest loudspeaker at 1000 dollars most expensive 50000
I found this song by Chris Jones accidental two days ago and been hooked to it every since. Shame he passed away what a talented composer. ruclips.net/video/D-h6MoF7HLA/видео.html
because helping homeless people makes you leftist. Socialy I'm way more right wing than you people, but economically I'm a centrist. Neither socialism nor capitalism can work.
I have this song in high resolution and have used it to test and tune my recording studio. I love it.

Chris Jones is an outstanding singer, period. His recordings are usually of such a quality you can demonstrate the limits of your HiFi system.
Chris ->> WAS ...! He was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in August 2005, one month later, Sept.13. 2005 he died.
This is some of the finest music I have ever heard. Chris Jones your voice and dreams are alive in my house.

greatest piece of music ever composed and performed. honestly.
Still a WOW song, voice and sound
A must have for any audiophil adict.
This was the number one song used to demo exciting speakers at the CEDIA in Denver this weekend. It was well recorded and really made speakers sing.
Am I the only one who are here because I REALLY like the music, instead of bragging about sound systems?
You will be enjoying it more Fernando. Namaste.

Not really down with the leftist message, but wow......it really is an audiophile piece
because helping homeless people makes you leftist. Socialy I'm way more right wing than you people, but economically I'm a centrist. Neither socialism nor capitalism can work.
You mean 'not really down with the Christian message'
Yet on the same album he whined about people being opposed to abortion. What a hypocrite.
