My cat heard your voice, and came RUNNING into the room. She jumped up to cuddle next to me and she actively watched the video. She's been doing this lately when I fire up one of your videos. I think she likes you, or maybe it's your voice. You have a really nice timbre to your voice that would be soothing to goofy kitties like her. By the way she watches so intently, I think she also likes your lighting and all the colors on that dark background. Whatever it is she likes, you get four paws up from her, that's for sure.
As a late 90s/early 00s child, I definitely felt the Y2K vibes from that names collection. It reminded me of the inflatable chair I just HAD to have for Christmas 1999. And sitting in it from the Christmas vacation into new years 2000.
Absolutely! The Y2K collection coming out at new years is perfect and those were the popular colors in 1999. And I so wanted one of those inflatable chairs! Those chairs were so cool but our cats at the time would have given them an untimely end.
Man, the Y2K ones definitely remind me of the Lipsmackers, Barbies, and the American Girl accessories I had or wanted in the late 90s/ early 2000s. It's really spot on!
Omg the y2k polishes 100% remind me of high school. Pretty sure i had lip gloss & body glitter in those same colors 😅 using them as toppers is a nice, unique idea!
I am so seasonal when it comes to my nail colors. It tends to make me excited about what colors to look forward to. I loved them all and I want them all!
The Hypnotic Trio was the first thing from Zoya that has caught my interest in so long! I was so excited for all three as soon as I saw them. Got them during Black Friday!
I used to not be seasonal with my nail polish colors, but I so am now! It increases my excitement for the changing seasons or different holidays approaching. 🤗 And the life hack I use the most is asking for no ice when ordering my soda in the drive-thru. The soda is still cold, and then I have more of it without it watering down quickly. Super simple, but it makes me so happy! 😂
Hello. My name is Shannon. I have a nail polish obsession. I bought 6 new collections for myself for Christmas. I don't see it as a problem really. We all need pretty fingertips. I could quit if I wanted to. I just don't see the need. These are really lovely. I have several shades similar to many of them. I'm not sure if I will pick them up now or down the line when other colors run out. I have reached my nail polish storage limit. I can not purge anymore right now. I have too many new shades I have to wear. I am going to end up lining my office walls with salon nail polish racks. I just know it.
The Y2K collection unlocked some deep seated memories about clear plastic electronics like Gameboys and Macs 😂 Also I love this eye look! Very winter queen 👑
LOVE the Sylvia and Sparrow comho!!combo!!! I thought both were pretty on their own, but together....GORGEOUS! Thanks for doing the combinations, I wouldn't have thought to pair those two together. Thinking of you and Ryan during the Holidays.
I got the Hypnotic & Y2K collection, and I have worn all 3 of the Hypnotic polishes twice each already. They are so rich and Winter perfect and I hated to take them off. Got bunches of compliments on them too. I think the Y2K are going to way for Spring.
I really like specialty finishes in the fall, holidays, winter. I wear primarily creams the rest of the year. I think adding toppers like Angel in the Pink, and Bonnie in the Cafe Creams collections are a good way to give people the option to switch up their creams.
LOVE the Hypnotic trio... 10/10 want. The Y2K ones are sparkly and pretty, not for me to buy. I was thinking the Leather collection would have a leather finish or be .. western colors? If that makes sense. I'd love to see a weird trio at least twice a year. It would be excellent feedback for them to do 6 a year and see which direction the next 6 should go. Or a single annual set of 5 for a weird skittle. Feels like a marketing no-brainer but, I'm not in charge! My ideal would be 60% cream finish and 40% everything non-creamy.
Oh--and I'm Team Hypnotic all the way. I saw those, and immediately went to the Zoya site to buy them. I don't do that. Most polishes go on my To Buy List, and I get around to them after I buy others I've picked before. Not this time. They were also having a bunch of bundles on sale, and I got some of those too. My husband was like=-seriously? 18 polishes in one go? Telling him it was a bargain didn't pacify him, but he got over it. Eventually. I wasn't much on the Y2K--hate cleaning up glitter polishes, so I'm reluctant to go there, although Sparrow was tempting. Might get it later. The leathers had some colors I really liked--the berries and blue intrigued me, but I think I have dupes for them, already. I don't mind a good creme polish. They're good for colorful palette cleansers. Sometimes, I wear so many shifty and bright and shimmery and metallic colors, that my eyes need a rest. So I'll do some neutrals and creams for a while, mostly in the spring and fall. My ultimate weakness is a good red creme. They're hard to find sometimes, because so many red polishes now are crellies or jellies or shimmer/metallic, so finding a good red cream is becoming a challenge. I think you can tell everything about a company by their red polish(es). If they can't get those right, then chances are that I won't like anything else they make.
Clarice looks so much like ILNP's Venom but unmagnetized. I neeeeed it. Also the Y2K collection remind me so much of Claire's nail polishes in the early 2000's, but better. The life pro tip I learned this year was to heat up plates at 170F for 5 minutes before putting food on them. Warm plates/bowls keep food nice and hot for a noticeably longer time.
I don't know what it is, but I absolutely love Zoya's Metallic and Shimmer polishes. This was the first polish I ever bought in the last few years that wasn't found in a local store and Salons who had it were mostly sold out. I love the smooth application, the quick drying, and paired with a good basecoat and topcoat. I only get a little edge wear no chipping for 3 to 5 days. With all the Metallic and Shimmers, it was 2 to 3 coats and great coverage very easy to build up. I'm rough on my nails. I'm wearing Zoya Alessia paired with Orly Shine and Sally Hansen Double Duty Basecoat and Dries Instantly topcoat and going on day 5. Every polish I own is a metallic or shimmer finish and a topper or two the colors are stunning in my opinion. I have yet to try the creams, but the formula looked great. This was such a beautiful bunch of polishes. Hypnotic is stunning!! I think the Y2K is really pretty on its own but could also see those layered over dark or pastel creams Thank You Kelli!!
Ha, my husband does that life hack all the time! Sadly, not the listening one 😂 but the threatening to cancel service one, and it works! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Kelli and Galaxy Gang! 😘😘
Love your videos. One small correction is in the Leathers collection, it's Dagmar not Dogma tho I can see how that could easily happen. Your swatches are great, love your channel. I have almost 80 Zoya colors and your videos have introduced me to other brands. Thanks!!
Great video. I will be trying Sylva with a matte topcoat... But I was not prepared for the PTSD flashbacks with the Y2K collection. I spent 1999 making sure our hospitals didn't shut down on NYE. I'm glad I went through that at the beginning of my career and hope I never have to go through that again. :)
I was not that crazy about the Leather collection (I just not into those colors anyway) however the other 2 collections were much cuter. I agree that the finishes are more appealing to me. I like a little sparkle in my life! 😊
I have to say Zoya is a favorite brand of mine, and the wide brush you can get makes application a whole lot easier. I'm with you on the finishes. I like it when they go out of the cream finish box. Happy Holidays to you!
I love ALL of the Y2K and Hypnotic ones. They are so pretty! I always love it it when you layer on your videos because I enjoy doing that myself and it's fun to watch you do it! Have a Merry Christmas, Kelli! 🎄🎁🎅
Sparrow is so Beautiful! i absolutely love Blue nail polish. This color reminds me of the blue sky that's always there even when covered by the clouds. I've been enjoying your Vlog about the holiday's. The Advent calendars are so much. I'm so happy that your taking the time you need. You work so hard and I really enjoy your content. Yes I agree with you about really listening to people. It's a skill that is so important to learn. Being present with people and truly listening so they feel heard is so important. Thank you for talking about it. Take care, Happy Holiday's
I'm a creme lover first and foremost, with specialty finishes rarely making the cut. I am not drawn to the Y2K trio (probably cause I lived it a little too much, haha), but I did like the hypnotic trio. It's interesting because I think I liked them because they are darker, if they were in a lighter base, I probably would have passed. I loved the leathers collection!
I love the shimmers, I am biased as they are my favourite kind of finish along with pearl finishes hence why I have a lot of OPI polishes. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 if you celebrate and a wonderful winter holidays to everyone else.
I’ve been waiting for your review of these! 😀 I’ve been loving the Hypnotic collection and am wearing Clarice now. I also have Y2K, but it feels more like a summer collection to me. Like you, I wear my polishes seasonally so I likely won’t wear Y2K for several months. I don’t have the Classic Leathers collection, but cream finishes are my favorite 😍
Happy Holidays! I LOVE the hypnotic polishes...Y2K look like spring to me and the leather collection isn't all that interesting IMO. I appreciate your candid reviews!
I bought Gidget and had a manicure done with. I liked it. It's a more neutral yellow. I definitely lean more towards the Creme finishes, but have gotten into some Shimmers. I love Morgan Taylor's All About the Twill and loved your video on layering so may look into that more in the New Year.
I have been rotating between all three Hypnotic colors all month, all three are stunning! Metora on now, and it's a dead ringer for my go-to-but-discontinued holiday shade, OPI's Bastille My Heart, but I think it's even more gorgeous. I'm so glad you liked them as much as I do!
@@KelliMarissa oh, that one, too. More of a black base. There's something about the depth in these, though. I can't stop looking at them and fluttering my fingers in sunlight! 😆❤️
I loved your eye look today, the blues really suited you, also the shade you called Dogma is Zoya doing their usual mislabelling, the shade is actually Dagmar :)
I really expected the Leather collection to have a more matte finish. The Y2K collection is VERY accurately done and as someone who lived through it the first time I kinda need them. Rosalind is super pretty but Idk if I need it.
Yay, I've been looking forward to this video! I love the Hypnotics the most. Totally agree about the overrepresentation of cremes, mostly because I'm greedy and never get tired of Zoya metallics. Does anyone else remember Zoya Binx? I think it was almost right between Malana and Tamiah, and unfortunately looked terrible on me. I got it back when I was just getting into polish and I never even thought to use it as a topper. Thank you for showing the Y2Ks that way--they look beautiful!
Loved Hypnotic and Y2K and ordered them during 50% off plus free wide brushes Black Friday sale. Unfortunately living in Canada it takes FOREVER for them to get here-still waiting but excited to wear them eventually, lol
Hey Kelli Metora & Sparrow are my favorites. I’m not a fan of their creams or their brushes. All are beautiful colors. Thanks for the review. I’ve done that thing with my internet service.😂
Saying you want to cancel your subscription to get a discount seems to be a worldwide thing 😂 I looove the y2k trio omg so gorgeous ! I do also wish they would do more funky finishes but we still have indie brands for that so 😢
I hope you’re birth well and keeping warm! I did not like ANY of the cremes, to me they’re alittle boring however I ADORE the 2 trio sets! Wow just GORGEOUS! I even like the jellies and as you know Kelli I’m not a fan of jelly polish but I truly love these ones! Veautifully described as always Kelli! Love you and can’t wait for the next cideo! Xxxxxx ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕
Love metora! But your eye makeup. If you ever get bored of doing your nails, give us some eye makeup tutorials. Geesh. Not like I could pull that off but amazing. I do seasonal nails too. Happy holidays!
I’m so sad Althea had that weird streaky look to it!😪 that green (and Sylva) looked awesome For what finish I prefer most, I really love those blackened metallics in the hypnotic collection! I love when my polish has a large contrast been the shadows and the highlights within the shade😁
I used to buy Zoya all the time and now I don't get them much because they've been a little boring to me. I'm loving the look of that Y2K collection though! I might have to buy that. And the retentions department is what you're thinking of when you call companies. My husband used to use that hack with Sprint A LOT and they would give him all sorts of discounts.

The Y2K ones really fitted the era it was going for. I don't think they were trying for "winter" in terms of tones, they were very very much going for colours which you got in the year 2000. Those colours were EVERYWHERE! I had a dress in that exact shade of blue (Sparrow) back then and the pink and purple-pink shades which were in style that year were spot on. Even the inclusion of the holographic glitter fitted. Someone bought me a peel off nail polish in the first pink (hated it, but wore it anyway as I had nothing else). Then the leather shades are very common shades of leather. Like for handbags the traditional shades you can get are commonly those shades. Felt clever in that way even though it would have been much more fun for them to have been textured in some way. Perhaps leaving it to dry almost fully and then gently pressing some scrunched up cling film onto the nail could give that leather kind of texture to it and make them more fun.
Haha oh yeah these definitely gave me major y2k nostalgia! They did a great job with that theme. But I think it would have been a great summer release!
Oh my gosh that is the sweetest thing, thank you for making my day 🥺❤️❤️

Yes!! It reminded me of wearing body glitter under my eyes to parties (where those inflatable chairs and pillows would be, of course)
@@GenericaQwerty yes body glitter! And the million different “flavors” of lip smackers!
The Y2K trio feels very Lizzy McGuire to me, lol. Not something I really want at 30-something.
Y2K! 💕💜💙

Haha yes definitely giving y2k vibes, they nailed (no pun intended) those!
Why did I never realize how well Zoya does those funky colors that I love?
Ryder, Sylvia and Althea are in my wish list for sure!
Kelli, your eyeshadow looks amazing! Thanks as always for an amazing in-depth review. Hope you and your loved ones have safe and happy holidays
Oh thank you so much! Happy holidays to you!

Malana makes me so happy! Also LOLing at your dueling life hacks 👼😈
Hack 1: be the best person you can be 🥰
Hack 2: cheat the system 😩🤣
I started wearing my polish seasonally this year and it is so fun! I get so excited to wear certain nail polishes, and do specific looks. 🥰
I love that!! It really is a fun way to cycle through your collection. And it makes the seasonal changes more exciting haha!
Hey Kelli 👋 thanks for the video! The wind chill here in Ohio is -35 degrees! Please take care! Love you

I adore Metora! She was the one that made *2* gel polish devotees try her, instead! Gorgeous!
Sparrow is giving Elsa from Frozen vibes and I love it.
Yesss definitely!!
I love the Hypnotic collection. Especially Clarice. I love your life hack and strive to do that as well.

3 collections! I hope one of these are actually good based on Zoyas track record for this year
Haha I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!!
I don't know what it is, but I absolutely love Zoya's Metallic and Shimmer polishes. Same! My favorite type of polish is one that looks completely different in the sun haha!!
Great point on life hack!
Idea for fun fact: How does a polish make it on your polish tower? 😁
Metora is … W O W!!
Malana, looks like it would make a great Jelly sandwich. Interesting collections.
Oh I should try that!
Ryder really reminds me of Red Hook by Cirque, I wonder if anyone’s done that comparison?
15:30 Calling Internet Service Providers to lower your cost has been known for over a decade, otherwise you are grandfathered in to your existing rate. The key is to *do this once a year* .
Ooh Kelli what are those purples on the corner behind you 👀
Those are just a bunch of Orlys haha! I've got a whole cool toned purple video using those here: ruclips.net/video/PVQNBxCsa28/видео.html
How did I miss this video??? It was probably posted when I had the flu. I just dropped tons for their 3 for 15 sale.
They have the best deals haha!
Love clarice
It's a nice color!
Can I see Clarice compared to Regina if you have it in a short?
I want to start painting my nails
You should do it! It's a lot of fun!
I have a hack for nail polish if you have a hard to open bottle grab a rubber band and wrap it around the cap, it will open easily
I think it's called "customer retention". I want the whole leathers collection. An autumn-hued skittle is my dream manicure.
That's the name haha! It's a great way to keep prices affordable. Which is tough when internet companies have a monopoly in your area 🙈
Your nails art brushes link in the description doesn't work anymore 😥
To anyone whose Christmas will not be merry and bright or the most wonderful time of the year, because you have lost someone you love. I pray that God's love and comfort will meet you wherever you are. ❤
❤️❤️
Amen to that.
❤️
🙏♥️
That's very thoughtful and sweet. Merry Christmas to you. ❤️
do you replace the brushes in every bottle, or do you use/clean a brush over and over
I replace the brush in every bottle just because I know I won't use the round skinny brush haha
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good cream but I’m a sucker for specialty finishes
Honestly same haha! Love em but always greedy for special finishes!!
