Treasure ain’t treasure if you tell everybody where it’s at (or what it is) but I do really appreciate the tips on how to find it and what to do with it. The hunt (research) is honestly a fun part of the deal
Another good video. I’ve been selling on eBay since 2003. I have a good union job in Illinois but building for a great retirement. I appreciate your time and effort.
If you're right handed your grip for a right handed club is right hand low and the angle of the face would face left. The opposite for left handed golfer
I bought a tripod for $30 at an estate sale a few months ago and it sold in 8 days on eBay for $700 plus shipping. Turns out it was a Marc Newson Taschen Tripod Book Stand For an Annie Leibovitz Sumo-sized Book
I agree, good money can be made in golf, been selling clubs a long time myself. It is rather seasonal however so just like other seasonal items.. ups and downs. Peak month is middle of June, then worst months are the obvious middle of winter. Sales for golf can drop up to 70% in the worst months, Jan-Feb. But it's been good for me too despite the seasonality aspect. I've had people disagree with me it's like nah it's California people golf year round! It's like yea some people do, but sales still dump just the same in the offseason. Right now its an awesome time to sell them all the way into Sept. sales are very good.
Golf clubs should cost no more than $10-$17 dollars. Max size box 6X6X48 they will almost always weigh under two pounds for single clubs. Always ship UPS no USPS.
I Only Sell on Mercari. (for "Fun" Money)Love it . Subscribed to you when you were R.R. because I love your videos, still useful even though I don't sell on Ebay. My wife loves your California Stories since we both grew up and lived there 47 years. we are betting when you will leave full time for N.C and the Grandkids. We've lived in Minnesota for 8 years, guess how old our Grandson is. 🙂
I have fun reading over the comments and your replies. You can't leave California forever because I don't think they have a Savers in North Carolina. It wouldn't be fun going to Savers without running into you while I shop. You are a fixture there. If you move, Savers will have to be a cardboard cutout of you over the near the books and golf club area.
Your copy of Adobe Photoshop CS2 will probably get returned. It requires online activation to be used, and Adobe shut the servers to do that down years ago and absolutely refuse to activate copies now (they had a secret serial number to remove activation but it is impossible to find online now.) I got burned by this myself. Your copy of Rosetta Stone probably also requires activation and may or may not be able to be activated again (Rosetta Stone is also VERY aggressive about filing VeRO takedowns, even on perfectly legitimate and brand new RS software, I avoid RS software like the plague.) Books from Taschen are always worth at least comping. Some are valuable and most at least can be sold at a profit.
Sold two Rosetta on Mercari. I don’t sell them on EBay. Both copies brand new and customers did nice. As for Adobe I have sent many had no issues. Now it is getting harder.
Mike,
I love the longer versions!
Thanks so much for watching.
Your videos are great! Would you do an entire video on golf clubs, brand name and specific club information?
I will it's on my list.
Thank you!😊

Thanks so much for watching. Great way to really make retirement amazing.
I saw one of those folding rulers at a garage sale and had no idea how to open it so I left it
oops ,lived in Cali 57 years. Getting old. 😀Following you on Mercari
This might be a really stupid question but how do you know if its left or right handed? Obviously I'm not a golfer 😊.

Whats the best way to ship folf clubs, USPS or UPS. Thank you!
Only way is UPS. USPS is double at minimum.

Yeap. They definitely pick up in spring and do slow some during winter.
How you ship clubs? I sold few canes sent them two states down and the shipping cost was outrageously expensive.

I know it's so hard. Love all the people at Savers. So many friends. So, many characters. Thanks again for watching. Say Hi when you see me.
Mike, when you measure clubs do you just measure the length of the shaft or both the shaft and the club head?
You run the tape or wooden ruler down straight to the ground. most drivers will measure 45 inches and most putter 35 inches.
@@goldenstatepicker Thanks, Mike. That's really helpful.

🎉🎉🎉 First! 🥇
OH WOW!! finally!
How are you shipping your clubs?
Long tubes no more than 6X6X48. I find them behind retail stores. I basically hoard them.
@@goldenstatepicker Are you using UPS?
